I love when you give your opinions about needles, yarn etc. ,but mostly love the way you tell people that anything you do is okay. The idea that whatever works successfully for YOU, is correct. 💕

Hi Arne and Carlos. Thanks for reviving my enthusiasm for knitting! I have been told I knit a “weird way” by American knitters and I should learn a different style. My Norwegian Tante taught me to knit when I was a girl. It’s so nice to watch you knit and learn more using the Norwegian style, in the way I was originally taught. I can knit color strand now without becoming frustrated. Tusen tak!

I think the size of a knitter's (crocheter) hands truly effects the hooks and needles we prefer. The wool we use effects how well it slides in the needle. It effects how we hold our needles as well. Arthritis makes us adapt our technique. Our love of the craft makes us find our way. Thank you for sharing. I watch your videos twice. Once for the beauty and once for the hygge. Bless you dear fiber friends .:*:.

I love your approach to knitting! It takes all the anxiety out of it. Basically, it’s “don’t sweat the small stuff”. And speaking of small stuff, I’ve just finished knitting the Save the Children sweater for my grandson Davey. He’s not yet 3 years old and the smallest size in the pattern is 4 years, so he’s a little swamped by it at the moment. However, by the next Australian winter he should be big enough to wear it skiing. Lovely pattern!

I am 64 and in regard to the jog when knitting patterned hats, etc. I always had the vague feeling I was doing it wrong and one day I would finally find out how to do it properly. Very sorry to hear you say you "hate" magic loop. Such strong language towards a technique that works so well for knitting two at a time socks toe up. As an educator, one has to share all the ways something can be done regardless of your personal feelings towards a particular technique. Please give magic loop a chance again. I find it most predictive in my sock knitting adventures. Thank you guys for all you do for our knitting community.

I love your attitude towards everything you do. Not being afraid to try, not caring if something doesn't work. It is liberating. I always think that I don't knit properly but I produce some great work so it works for me. (Next time I knit a swatch I'll try knitting the Norwegian way, however, because it looks easier and better.) I always wanted to design knitwear but didn't know where to start. Thanks to you I have got myself a book so I can learn how. I can do it! And even if I fail at first, I also got a few of your pattern books so I have plenty to knit.

You are not rude at all, but just realistic about the jogs. It's a new thing indeed, a few years ago nobody cared about it. Another new thing I'm amazed of, is the huge amount of different sock heels. My grandmother always made the same heel, so do I, and it always fits. So why would you make it more different than necessary? I love your traditional way of thinking about knitting and other crafts.

I used to read 30+ books a year, life circumstances keep me from doing that at the moment. Now I keep a list of purchased, read books on my iPhone, donate the ones I don’t keep to my local library. I gravitate towards thick books, if an author has something worthwhile to write about, I feel it would be difficult for them to stop writing, plus my not wanting it to end. I have favorite authors, but I read the first few paragraphs of a book, get a feel for an author I’m not familiar with, good indicator of their style. Rarely do I read thin books, unless recommended, the last being ‘Where'd You Go, Bernadette’, excellent. I digress, agree that artists of any kind should not get wrapped around perfection, life’s too short...enjoy. Enjoy your holiday preparations guys.

Hi Arne and Carlos! Thank you for another fun/informative video! Arne, I just wanted to let you know that I used DPNs for the first time, to make “Pants for Magnus”. I made some changes to the pattern, because I’m using them for another doll that is taller and doesn’t have a tail. Well, they're no snakes, but using DPNs was hard. I did make the whole thing harder for me: I’m super new at knitting (have only made half a dozen of dishcloths since teaching myself how to knit in April this year, from KZbin videos), I used dark navy blue cotton, on dark 3.00mm DPNs. Hard! I wanted to knit Norwegian style, but it was just too much for me. I still want to knit Norwegian style and use DPNs, so I’ll keep practicing! It’s a good thing I’m so new to this, because I can choose the style I want to learn - so far, I’m knitting Portuguese ☺ Anyway, thank you for the pattern and the video: Q&As are great!
