i have found the testimony of a japanese virologist on this topic. he says that he was very scared visiting the ship because there were absolutely no precautions at all. the sick people still walking around, not having a specific zone, AND still eating in the restaurant where everyone was, the staff contaminated as well, circulating between the sick and the healthy passengers, etc. in a quarantine this seems to be very dangerous also with droplets contagion, because the level of contaminated people increases over time, and contamination via surface is possible then.(it takes touching a contaminated object from saliva droplets and touching noise or mouth with unsanitized hands) this happens when sharing living space with contagious people even if only via dropplets type contagion. _🍀 let's just hope this is the version of reality we favour.

@Zoe Casper Wildes I work in an open plan office where there are at least 40 other people in my section and 150 in the whole room. With the people from own team, I did make a point of putting hand sanitizer in their hand when they sneezed. And saying were you just about to put those germs on the mouse. All I get is told not to be stupid, not to be paranoid, not to worry About the tiniest little thing. They get offended if they think I am suggesting they have something contagious. People in the same section I don’t know and don’t speak to so I am in no position to tell them to cover their mouth or catch their sneeze. Plus ... I have an incredibly high pressured workload where I am working to short deadlines. I do not have time to educate everyone in my section. So I reiterate; telling people who don’t care about the spread of the virus to catch their coughs and sneezes isn’t a way that I can prevent *myself* getting it. And I say this having been off ill for the last 10 days.

What differs COVID-19 and Pneumonia in terms of their symptoms?
@FitChickGlows4 жыл бұрын
Mohammed Baba Bacterial pneumonia is caused by a bacteria and CT scans of the lungs show bigger whitened areas that are not round in shape and are more central in the lungs and can be treated with antibiotics. COVID-19 is a SARS-COV2 virus that’s is a respiratory virus that attaches to cells in the lungs basically hijacking the cells receptors and replicating it’s own RNA this spreading its virus in the lungs making the lungs unable to uptake oxygen to the blood, etc. On CT scan you will see cloudy round areas that tend to congregate closer to the edges of the lungs. So it’s very easy to differentiate from bacterial pneumonia in this way. I think with bacterial pneumonia you’ll have more flu like all over body symptoms whereas with COVID-19 you get a dry cough and fever and the fever depending on the severity of the virus can be short lived. However, you tend to have more breathing difficulties with COVID-19 which am an turn in ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). I’m not a doctor ~ I just cleaned this by research ~ but any doctor who understands more please chime in.

@FitChickGlows4 жыл бұрын
Panderwaals Forces Not the doctor but I’ve been following this closely and the Italian doctor Dr. Guaraldi, treating COVID-19 in Italy had a very sick patient who actually started out as having bacterial pneumonia and caught the COVID-19 virus whilst being treated for the bacterial pneumonia. Also, he spoke on the symptoms of this virus as being mainly to start a fever and dry cough. It RARELY presents with the typical head cold of runny nose and sneezing. It DOES NOT ACT like the common cold as this doctor says. Also fevers can be short lived. Also, in the early stages of dry cough you may feel just fine and thus not feel your really sick therefore you may unwittingly go about your normal daily activities spreading it to others. Also, MedCram, a great resource on info here on KZbin just spoke on daily dose of Vit D at 20mcg and lower can really help shorten viral illnesses and/or keep you from getting it. Also, look into ELDERBERRY as a anti-viral supplement. As it works similarly in blocking the virus’s ability to attach to the lungs cells to replicate its RNA. It works similarly to a new testing drug REMDESIVIR which they are testing in the U.S., China and Japan. Also, Dr. Guaraldi spoke that they were using HIV anti-virals for treatment to their patients in Italy. I hope this helps.
