The project of wholesale distortions of the history of medieval Muslim atrocities in India ranks as one of the greatest subversions of the Hindu psyche. Sir, you are right that democracy being a number game of manipulation, putting these things right is not an easy job. But, PM Modi has set the ball rolling by initiating the following: 1. Removal of article 370 in Kashmir 2. Ban on triple talaq in Muslims 3. Supreme court ruling on Ramjanambhoomi in favour of Hindus 4. Citizenship Amendment bill (which has aroused great deal of protests by Congress, Muslims and anti Hindu parties) For further action along this line, we need to stand United behind Modi Govt. Parallely, as you pointed out, the Hindu society needs to carry out intellectual renaissance on our history and concretize our convictions about our identity and religious beliefs. Thirdly, as more and more Muslims are getting educated and have started asking questions about their own religion, in social media I have come across good number of ex- Muslims who have started an internal war within Islam. We need to encourage these people to acquaint themselves with Quran and challenge its directives on violence and Jihad. Lastly, the Government of India needs to appoint a commission to investigate and review M.K. Gandhi's real contribution to our country.

Another important point to make, Ghandi is not the founder of ahimsa. Ahimsa is mentioned in our most ancient scriptures such as the Upanishads and the Buddhist texts. Ghandi managed to trademark this concept of ahimsa to his name. As he was weak ideologically he hid under the banner of ahimsa to hide this weakness. He weakened Hindus further by preaching ahimsa specifically to Hindus and making the hindu population like sacrificial goats. This was a time when Hindus needed to have nerves of steel and have a bit of Kshatriyayatva blood left in them, but it was completely weakened by this ahimsa ideology. Why was India invaded in the past? it's because Kshatriya kings who had a fighting spirit abdoned it on becoming Buddhists, all because buddha preached ahmisa as the core tenant of Buddhism.

He was no British agent. Had he been one, he wouldn't have supported Khilafat, which he did because he hadn't studied Islamic history and doctrine. He had only experience of cooperation from Indian Muslims in S A. Once the Khilafat evolved into communal violence of such scale and intensity, he ought to have admitted his blunder and apologized. But he was something of a delusional egoist. Besides, his one goal was to win over the Muslims by making them pacific , in order to keep the country united; even as the British were fuelling the divide. Of course it didn't work; the only realistic goal could have been to achieve a peaceful exchange of communities. Britishers sent a shipload of muslims from Kerala to Andaman to be jailed there. Post independence, they were settled at different parts of Port Blair and nearby islands. A senior of mine used to talk about pre independence era of Andamans(he was into movie making, so did his research on the same).
