+Ibrahim Alhassan I'm not really sure how it works, I think it depends on when you apply. Either your application will be considered for the same year or if you apply after the cut off date your application will be considered for the following year. When I applied it was after the cut off date so I had to wait for about a year and a half.

There is a Dar uloom which does a 7 year alim course but they are deobandi and I was advised not to study their but the Islamic centres don't have any courses for brothers to travel abroad to study here?

No problem if they are students from Deobandi School. It just means that they follow the hanafi madhhab in fiqh, which is the majority in the islamic world today. They can teach you quran recitation, tajwid, arabic, usul alhadith, the hanafi fiqh... Be open minded dear brother. Wahabies are not the only muslims in the world. Wassalamu aleykum ya akhi!

Actually, I don't need one anymore brother as Allah answered my request. Today I opened my shelf and was SHOCKED. The first thing I see? A beautiful Mushaf from Madinah. I run to my family and ask: "Where did you get this from?" They answer: "Oh you mean the Quran, well this person (I haven't seen him in ages) wanted to give you a gift." He said "I could't find much for you.. but I hope this will make you happy." Subhanallah, how great Allah is :D

May Allah bless you akhi. I have a few questions pertaining to studying in madinah al munawarah. I'm supposing that when you first went to madinah and took the arabic classes you didn't speak any english, so how were you able to learn the language when you didn't understand it? did you receive help from a fellow student? Were you tutored? That is the question I've been dying for to be answered, because once you master the Arabic language everything else becomes a lot easier. I too want to learn my religion and it's religion in madinah. Thank you brother.

I live in the UK. I want to do a BA in Islamic Studies minimum and maybe go on to do a MA and more. I came late into the Deen but im getting depressed I dont see a way out for older people to learn the Deen. I triead online learning but I didnt enjoy it. Allah knows best brother, my advice is to speak to the knowledgeable people of your community. It is my understanding that the UK has a large Muslim population and many Madinah graduates as well, I'd suggest talking to some of them about finding solutions insha'Allah. I would imagine there are many opportunities to study in your area, if traveling to study is what you want then they may have more information about that as well. May Allah bless you, make it easy for you, and guide you to what is best, ameen.

+Uzair Azhar wa Alaykum Assalam, I was a new Muslim at the time so they just asked me to recite al-fatiha, the tashahhud, and asked why I wanted to study, things like that, it was simple. I don't think you'll be eligible for 2016, maybe 2017, Allah knows best. Tawfiq inshaAllah.

Saajid Lipham Jazakullah for replying, just one quick question, when I applied for the 2014/2015 year I was rejected as (most likely as I did not have the correct translated documentary) so I applied again for the 2016/2017. So when I try to print off the application form for 2016/2017 it won't let me print it off. But I can print off the application form before that. I don't want to use that previous form as it is not correct. So when I go for the interview can I tell them to take into account the new application I sent and disregard the old one. For individual students they offer round trip tickets so students can visit their homes every summer, they offer a monthly stipend, dorms, there's transportation to and from Masjid Al-Nabawi, they offer Umrah and Hajj to students, there's a free clinic on campus...

Brother, i applied to madinah university 3 years ago. I was 23. I heard nothing first year and then second year. I went to Saudi this year when i was 25 and they said my application did not exist. So i had to reapply. Now i am 26 but the condition of the Uni is that you must not exceed 25. What can i do?

I would like to do a degree in Islamic studies in Al Madinah university. I am going to apply and go there personally to speak to someone at the university early next year because I am 40 and I don't want them to turn me away because of my age. In the meantime I would like to learn anything you can teach me from what you are learning please brother. I would like to learn beginners level knowledge of Aqeedah fiqh tafsir hadith and Arabic language. I know you won't have that much time for me because you are probably devoting so much time to your own studies so what ever you can teach me I would be grateful.
