Absolutely love random videos like this and the podcast episodes. Sometimes I just want to hear someone ramble on about what interests THEM and nobody else. It's nice to hear someone so passionate about their craft go into extreme detail about every minute detail, even if it jumps from topic to topic. It's honestly really insightful and makes me love watching someone play and rooting for them

dude how cool would it be if tweek started a podcast based around smash events? and what if he had some cohosts with him who also had a lot of knowledge about smash (let's say, idk, pink fresh, charles thoren, maybe even hazmatt?) and he could call it something like "tweek speaks" idk i think that would be raw

I would be surprised Proto incident was intentional. If they were trying to trick Tweek why would they watch the replay in front of tweek. I’ve watched an interview where Proto’s coach saying he was really happy to play friendlies with Spargo and Tweek. Either way they were very uncareful and it is probably a good thing you used it to motivate yourself.

It 100% is. People genuinely don't understand the extent proto goes in order to beat people/place well. He literally went to a gold tier tourney in Japan despite having more than enough points for SWT, because if he had that specific amount of points he knew he would go against Leo round 2. Not to mention in doubledown, he was asking around people where Leos hotel room was, went there, and asked Leo to play friendlies and told him to go specific characters.

Since you talked about Forgotten Land at the beginning and you said you really like it so far, I really think you should try Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Personally, the original was my favorite game of all time, and many people still hold that sentiment, even after forgotten land. If you haven't played it, I'd highly suggest it at some point

Talent literally doesn’t exist. Everywhere we see someone good at something, they’ve always put in a shitload of quality practice time into said activity. I don’t even understand why the debate exists, it’s not like there’s any evidence for whatever ‘talent’ is anyway.

Honestly this makes the Tweek win over Banham so much sweeter. I don't really think it was nice of them to offer Tweek snacks and to play some games to then save the replays to review them literally in the same room later on where Tweek was. Seems a little disrespectful especially knowing they going to have a set later. I wouldn't technically call it cheating but reviewing your opponent that carefully and basically bribing him is a big advantage imo. I wonder if if the Japanese players have caught onto this and that's why Banham does so we'll overseas 😅 Nonetheless congrats to Tweek for turning it around mentally and using it to help him. My favorite player of all time and for good reason!
@countless0426

@Soki Yes! I mean from what Tweek said he seemed to be pretending to be curious about the way Tweek plays the game, but I think we all understand it was to have the edge over him. I could be wrong, but if I'm not I'm happy it backfired 😅
@jaydenhohman2590

@@countless0426 ah yes bribing tweek with food LOL. Tweek could've said no to the friendlies. And no to him saving replays, proto was just using the tools he had available and tweek shouldn't have given him those tools. Good stuff that tweek won tho
@countless0426
@countless0426 Жыл бұрын
@@jaydenhohman2590 it wouldn't be surprised by it tbh, lots of people do funny things, might not seem so to you and I totally could be wrong. Tweek also said it himself though that he got fooled by it and caught on later. Yes I agree Tweek shouldn't having given him those tools, but to say he's 'just using tools he had available is not really fair. I mean acting like you're interested in someone and not telling them you like to look at the replays to study up on their exact gameplay with matches you just had with them previously only to the have othersgather around to help study up on it is a bit odd in my opinion and I highly doubt other players at summit were doing the same thing as it came to surprise to Tweek as well. Like I said, I don't think it's cheating but it's definitely not sportsmanship. Maybe he did offer food to a lot of other people there, but if not it's a bit sus imo.
@jaydenhohman2590
@jaydenhohman2590 Жыл бұрын
@Countless Yeah, it's "sus" or whatever but he did nothing wrong and tweek could've said no to literally everything so he was definitely just using tools available and did nothing wrong

Right? He had every opportunity to refuse the friendlies, Banham asking to save the replays, even the snacks lmao. It's not like he didn't know he was facing Banham that day. Being courteous or being a fan of someone (Banham has literally said so on his stream before) and still wanting to beat them, especially in a tournament as important and lucrative as Summit, are not mutually exclusive things.

Yo Tweek not sure if you know who JJ Reddick is but he often uses the term “psycho” to describe an athlete’s extreme competitive mindset as a term of endearment and respect. You sir are a true Psycho and it’s part of the reason you’re so great at what you do. I hope you never lose that edge. 🫡
