For the longest time I have said, “I trust Jesus, but I don’t trust myself”. While this should be comforting, it makes me anxious because I feel like I’m going to mess up. I want to make the right decisions. For example, which home should I put an offer on? Does it matter to Jesus? Should I stay single or date if someone shows interest? Should I switch careers? These decisions are hard sometimes. Thoughts? Thank you so much for sharing your understanding of salvation. It has opened my heart to a new way of looking at it. ❤

I prayed for my son for over one year, I made a pact with God that I would change my life for good and walk beside him if he granted this blessing, I also said I would name my son something biblical and dedicate him to his honor. I had my son after praying for a year and it happened quick. Now I walk closer to God, however, the relationship with his Dad didn’t work out but we are still good friends. I have now made another deal with him about sending me a good God fearing Christian man. I would remain celibate till he is ready to bless me in that regard, I feel we are always “wrestling” in some form. I do believe and I have held up for a long time and will continue. It is about surrendering and being grateful. I thought being celibate for years would be tough but it actually wasn’t at all. The power of Jesus!

Hi Johnny, I will be honest… your bible study is the only way I am understanding the word of God… I now read the Bible, I started going to church again, I been to church, I watch many videos… I just can’t understand it but your words and your explanations is the only way it hits my brain….. It's crazy how our adversary is able so subtly to cause us to be depressed and hopeless and defeated and ungrateful for the things that we should be extremely grateful and extremely thankful . And I'm not really sure how to get better at doing this but the problem a lot of times is instead of responding we react we have a knee jury knee jerk reaction without really contemplating the nuances of situations and we just act a reaction is acting out of emotions because that's what first happens to us we have an emotion towards something and if we act very soft of that rather than just you know just not responding yet and just take your time and give it thoughtful consideration find the silver lining The Bible says it God close himself in darkness the light shines in the darkness find the silver lining trust in God he's the one in control He works all things together for the good of those who love him He pours out his mercy on the just and on the unjust The devil is a lie stop stop giving him power and rain this is what God is doing with Satan Satan thinks he's getting over on God or that he's destroying what God wants and he doesn't even realize God is only purifying what Satan thinks he's destroying or taking from God He's only he's only making it larger and better and more pure and more blessed and so we don't even need to think of we don't even need to entertain Satan like that we need to just cling to God the pain hurts but I belong to God so I just need to tell myself while I'm doing it you know when people are working out they're not like oh yeah this feels so good like they're getting a massage no it sucks and it's painful So why are they still doing it why do they have hope why are they willingly like what kind of craziness is that to put yourself through pain it's because the end result will put me I will be in a better position than I was before the suffering and that gives me all the more hope and will to knowingly walk into suffering

Hey Johnny I'm new to the faith I've been for about a year struggling and a lot of what you teach makes sense One thing I do struggle one is if I'm praying the right way how I'm supposed to pray and just get things first or saying Jesus name or our father could you make a video on prayer since there isn't really any videos demonstrating what it looks like or does that matter

You don't sit down in a chair unless you have faith that the chair will hold you first everything that we do is buy us first having faith in that next move we're going to make. I can't remember where it is at but it says something to the effect that God is given everything to Jesus and he has given it to us and that all things are ours and so we are already have everything that God has promised we just don't possess it at this very moment. Jesus said in my father's house there are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you. Behold I go to prepare a place for you. So do I believe that there's a place for me Yes I just don't have it in my possession or I am not in its presence at this moment but I already have it I already have a seat at the father's table with my name on it I don't even know I feel weird calling it Faith I feel like trust is better but I trust so much in God that I feel like it's I feel like I'm offending him by not just being convinced and saying I know that it's mine because he doesn't lie and if he's promised it his promise is the that's how I have faith because he promised it and he doesn't lie now that that gives me the faith that I perceive the gift is going to give me me having believing knowing that he's God and he doesn't lie if he makes a promise his word does not come back void to him if he promises me something that's just something he says he's going to do there's nothing in my power I can do for him there's nothing I can do that's going to stop the promise but we should strive to receive the gift because I could miss my opportunity that promise could have been given and I not done anything with it put it on a shelf and let it collect dust so to speak So if I didn't if I don't receive a promise in this life that he said I would get in this life it's not that I didn't get it it's that I rejected it or I wasn't able to discern that what I had was what got promised me because I had my own expectations like the Jews did of who the Messiah would be God promised them a savior and they received him they were given the promise but they rejected him and so they didn't get that promise but look at what God did He said he's going to do it and look at how he's doing it One way or another he said it's getting done I will do it

And because it's not beneficial for you to hang out with your homies anymore that's something to be thankful for because now you have a reason to communicate with God and pray for them because they don't have a godly person to leave them which is also good because now if you're not around him you can't trust yourself to lead them to God and who else who better to trust him than God to lead them to himself which is what the Bible says no one comes to he has to draw them near

If I receive something good for God I don't have to do anything but I can recognize that whatever he gave me now I get to I get the privilege and the the honor and the I don't know a good word but he gave me something and now I'm blessed with a opportunity to praise him and getting to be able to praise and worship and love God is a gift itself and so I get to praise and worship God that I get to praise and worship God because he gave me a gift I didn't deserve because he loves me and it's like because God is who he is it's like I don't know this is why I cry and sometimes perceive that I have almost depression over because the people that don't know God have no idea what they are missing they think they know what they're missing and to them it'd be like our equivalent to hell they're like they think it's drinking poison in it it's just gives them life actually it's impossible I don't know how I'm able to do do life I guess because I'm selfish and prideful I should just be in continual praise of God I feel like the whole world around me should like disappear and I just stand in one spot for the rest of my life just lifting my hands to God because what what else is there to do when you have such a words can't even describe it I was an enemy of God and he loved me and rained on me to our human understanding we would think it'd be appropriate to call God crazy like there's something wrong in your head man I blast themed your name and said you don't even exist your make-believe and destroyed your creation and blasphemed you by making myself the God of my life and he blessed me
