As to being, going to or whatever, if you consider yourselves to be married you are, you don't need a church or the government to confirm that fact. Thanks for visiting with everyone today. I have followed you guys for a long time now and have always been amazed with the individual growth you have both shown. Katie has learned so much, become very skilled with tools and whatever she is doing and Greg, you are totally different since you stopped working! Comparing you as you were whilel working and now is like night and day difference. You seem to be a lot less stressed, more relaxed and open and very comfortable in front of the camera. You have really grown into the new role and seem to enjoy it. Love you guys. Have a great week. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

Greg is in control but he is not "controlling." Building is his forte and Katie seems to respect him for it. Katie is a treasure and Greg seems to know it. They are a good match. Women who want to "take charge" just end up miserable while also making their man's life hard. I know based on hard experience.

I watch about 30 channels, you being one of them. And, most of the time when a Q&A comes up I jump through it because most of what folks say is stuff I already figured and like you said, questions you've answered to many times. Anyway, I really enjoy your show and look forward to each segment. Your Q&A is was one I watched without skipping through it. You two are very interesting people who have a laid back way of seeing life and I enjoy and value that level of honesty. I'm 67 and plan to do my own off grid soon. Not sure if I'll you tube it but the future isn't written in stone so who knows. Thank for the update.

The hair on dogs can keep them cool. It acts as an insulation layer both for keeping warmth in in the winter and for keeping heat out in the summer. As long as their internal temp is stable and they have water, the dogs with long hair will be fine in hot weather. Shaving a dog can actually make them hotter and pant more because they are not built like we are where we sweat from our skin to cool off. They sweat through their paws and those are not enough to cool your dog if they are hot. This is why they pant.

On the question of cutting Aspen’s fur, I have had a couple of Huskies, and I live in Tennessee US. So we are in the south with warm/hot weather. I used be told I needed to shave them in the summer. That is actually not good for them. Their fur provides their skin protection from the sun, and it is also insulation from the surrounding heat.😢
@naturallyblonderockingred2 ай бұрын
Yep I have sled dogs, they're double coated, double coated dogs have built in "air con" and heating, with the way the fur works with their body. So shaving them actually makes them hotter AND puts them at risk of sunburn etc. ❤ people that day shave double coated dogs don't actually understand how important the double coat is to them. It also damages the guard hairs and the fur rarely grows back the same ever again. They just see a fluffy dog and assume it's the same as us wearing a "fur coat"in the heat.... its really not.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED your responses to safety equipment! Anyone that has used the equipment and tools that you both use will recognize how safe you are when working. The ONE “thing” that I wish you both would do is to wear hearing protection. My dad was around loud manufacturing equipment when people didn’t realize how damaging it was to the ears. He later farmed and was around some loud tractors, etc. The saddest part of his 93 year life was when he couldn’t hear people around him talk and contribute to the conversations around him. ANY item that muffles loud sounds are better than nothing - what would you do if the other was hurt severely and you were unable to hear their cries for help??? Once your hearing is gone or almost gone, there’s very little that can be done. Please don’t end up like my daddy. Oh! Seeing how both of you acted toward a little baby kid (goat), you would make good parents, but the decision is yours to make. Love the channel!

Hey Guys, regarding your small AC in the bedroom. When it gets brutally hot close of your stairway at the top and bottom with a sheet or something. As you are well aware hot air rises. But in addition to that cold air settles. Basically, you are cooling off the lower level from your bedroom and all the heat is coming from down below is up the stairwell to the bedroom.
