Very interesting looking at now, seeing how a few things have been implemented(circuit breakers, condensing boilers, better insulation, etc.). RIP to Bob as well. He passed away in 2015.

What a condemnation of UK housebuilding.. We were behind when the programme was made and, 34 years later, it's like we've barely moved at all

Me too! I have searched KZbin for this several times over the years. I only remembered his toilet ventilation idea and the outdoor drain cocks, so it was good to be able to watch the whole thing.

@@HowardBurgess Yeah - I remember the toilet ventilation and the basement building stuff from this program. I had been looking out for this program on the BBC's main website and also on torrents, but I am so glad that it is now on YT.

Amazing that we still haven’t started doing any of that stuff yet. The quality of UK housing is lower now than it was in the 60s 🤷‍♂️
