Thank you, the side frames were installed for the plasterboard to fix to but you can always add framework for shelves at this point if you want to add shelves. 👍🏻

I'm a DIY'er doing this job with the same fire right now. Can you show how you fitted the stop bead around the fire please? I've not use it before. I've just picked up some 3mm stop bead from Wickes and don't know if it sits on the surface of the board or if the hooked bottom bit goes around the edge of the board

Why doesn't it look straight? The tv looks straight but its a different height at each side to the ceiling.

Great job but I can't believe how expensive these fires are. I mean they are essentially a heater with a fan that has some led lights behind. The fact they've got an option of some oak logs for £250 extra is just ridiculous, when you could get the same from a garden shop for about £8!!
