What if your blocks weren't perfect? You only set the four corners, but it's possible there could be a "wave" in the piecing of the blocks. How would you adjust for that? Also, I was taught to outline each block before I start filling in an area so nothing shifts during quilting. Is it possible to outline the block to follow the accurate boundaries (not just the four corners)? I use line quilting on my Q-Bot and the crosshatch function is amazing. I am just wondering if my new Bernina will have anything similar to offer. Importing a crosshatch design has some problems when custom quilting.

My blocks aren’t perfect. That why you set the motif at the 4 corners and morph. I personally do not like the look of outlined blocks and feel that it only contributes to enhancing imperfections.

Great video. What would you do to quilt the borders and smashing? Think i could figure out the horizontal borders but not sure about the vertical ones. Thank you and keep well

Jean Duden I’m this case we only quilted 1/4” in on the borders because they were thin. We will do other videos to show quilting sashing and borders.

BERNINA of Naperville you guys are awesome. What a quick response, thank you. I have kimberbells Hello sunshine loaded and am planning my design, your video was very helpful. I’m thinking i would do the borders in the same manner, but would have to match up the side borders and allow for corners. Going to play tomorrow and hopefully can celebrate a finished project soon
