I paste the XML file in Import rule folder location. But it didn't consume it. But if a update the list by XML. It worked. I think the systax in XML for updating variable is wrong or miss spelled. I used your Catalyst Converted. It showed exactly like the XML you showed in this video.

Is there an option or a way to actually use the pdmweid?

Great question Frank. It can be used as a unique identifier for pushing data out to ERP then using that same ID to bring data back to the correct data card. Does that help? The use cases are few but there are a couple that involve BOM integration or data card integration with ERP. What problem are you needing to solve? Maybe we can help? Is it possible to pull in physical files from a local or network location using this method?

Not using a transition but there is a protocol for doing this. Unfortunately, that information is only available to resellers using the PDM XML Importer. I'm working on an XML importer of my own right now but this isn't an easy task. It would be easier to develop a simple spreadsheet containing a column of paths on the network where the source files are and a column for where the destination files would go. Then write a PDM stand alone application that uses the document manager API to read referenced files and import using this method. Tim
