Just got mine. Love them, and the more I wear them the more I like the firm foot bed. My son wants his own pair. Hopefully they will still be around at Christmas. I just got him good new pair at the beginning of summer. The firm foot bed makes driving my Bakkie easier

I'd never think it would be possible to design slip-slops to be ultra durable, but then again with years of expertise in boot design and manufacturing, it makes perfect sense. I imagine Jim Green one day designing and manufacturing a heavy duty pair of leather grandpa sandals for the African bush with the same EVA midsole for arch support coupled with their super durable tyre tread sole. That would be an interesting project.

Y'all should make a video that walks through the process step by step of ordering custom boots from the customers perspective. Take to each webpage and explain what the options are.

That would be awesome. Since my original comment I learned what the different parts are, but I video would definitely still be helpful. Especially talking about how the different options affect each other. For example, can I do the narrow last with a steal toe?

Looking at this I'm glad you guys took a shot at making a durable slip slop/flip flop. I am not sure about the functionality of the grip of the bottom of the slipslop. The narwhal theme is nice and cute, but how functional is it in griping the ground? And how does the nubuck leather age over time? Would be nice to see that after about a year like you've done with other boots. I think it would also make sense to make a light weight hiking type sandal along the same vein as Teva or Chaco as well. Things like the teva hurricane are very attractive and functional. While I'm not in the market for a new pair of slip slops, I might be in the future when my current pairs reach their end of life. By that time I will be looking at purchasing one of yours.

I think it would be really good if you added a heel/ankle strap. That would make them a legit option for a hiking sandal, especially with the leather and sole options you have!

I didn’t see this coming! Just took delivery of a pair from Southern Polished too 😂 the brown with green center looks awesome. Please make a brown/tan version with the signature JG green center strap without any crazy colors in the sole (just black/brown sole/foam) and I’ll buy a pair. Cool backstory from Q too.

Question! I'm in the US on the East Coast and here, Rainbow Sandals are a big deal. Their leather sandals are great but the problem is that they get ruined in water and definitely in salt water. The lovely leather foot bed they use (which looks similar to yours) ends up going from smooth to rough and can start to pit. You said you dunks your pair in the pool and into other water. Does the leather hold up? Does it go from smooth to rough? Will it pit in places? If not, I'm sold!

Signed off on the workhorse Moc 2 weeks ago so tooling up for it🙌 going to say one of the best boots we’ve made from my 2 weeks in a sample. Will look to do a video update soon on the process
