I think they ALL, more or less, have "aged well". How many men of their age DON'T have a sizeable beer gut, a horrible combo over if not TOTALLY bald, and ZERO sense of style of ANY kind? I have no doubt that there's been a bit of artificial "help" here there but, for the most part, I think they are all putting in the work to keep themselves fit and healthy.

Duran Duran's albums are always new. Always creative and voice of Simon is the same as in 1981. The band is very professional. Nick, John and Roger are very talented! Live also very good! Love the very sexy album sound of invisible! I could not sleep 6 days before I get the album. Yes, I've got it already! Don't als me how I get it. I just can say it's perfect! "Tell us about Live Aid..." That's a cheeky question. Fascinating how some boy bands keep going for decades.
@bethanyjosephadventures29353 жыл бұрын
Not a boy band. They are a new wave band; a mixture of rock, pop etc who were actual musicians and auditioned for one another. They wasn't put together by a manger. I wasn't being rude, but it's happened before where press has called them that to offend that and just say they are famous vecause they were five good-looking men
@miketomlin60403 жыл бұрын
@@bethanyjosephadventures2935 They are a famous boy band, they made music for the 12-16 year old girl market in their more well known pop charting days. They still make the same type of synth pop tunes now. It's not an offensive descriptor, just a precise one.
@bethanyjosephadventures29353 жыл бұрын
@@miketomlin6040 no, they said they made music for everyone and I believed them. It wasn't to impress girls; it was an idea, turned into a song and performed live to whoever attended. More girls attended yeah, but it doesn't make them a boy band if they aren't the definition of one. They are a band.
@miketomlin60403 жыл бұрын
@@bethanyjosephadventures2935 Hmmm. I was 15 when they appeared, the girls I knew aged 12-16 were their audience, maybe a few teenage boys as well. I'd call them a boy band, lots of them around. Beatles a famous example, also made music for 12-16 year old girls, at least until 66/67. It's tricky in a way for folks like Duran Duran, as these bands have a 5 year window to sell records then their audience gets old. That being said I imagine when you go to their gigs now it is the same people who bought their stuff as teenagers in the main.
@bethanyjosephadventures29353 жыл бұрын
@@miketomlin6040 yeah, they also mature with age as you hear with their music, particularly the "Notorious" [1986] album. Like with the new single now. I'll see them at the Isle of White in mid September but the kid's of your generation still mature with the songs of the past etc. Now, I would say they are considered for all rather than back then. Are you seeing them this year?
@jamesmccarthy72283 жыл бұрын
It absolutely amazes me how Duran Duran are considered to have sold 1000 million records worldwide. Yet, this statistic seems to stand for at least the last ten years, or so. But in the meantime, they're obviously recording albums and getting sales for these accounted for. But yet the figure always seem to be 100 million album sales worldwide. Go figure !!!
