Q50 3.7 gets VR30 Trans swap (crazy results!!)

Coming from a q50 with a 3.7 and now owning a redsport for almost 4 years, there is definitely a big difference between the transmission, the trans shifts as soon as you pull the paddle compared to the 3.7 which had a slight delay and the red sport also has a different final drive for the diff so that also makes it better

Vr trans is about being able to handle more power on a vq bc if your vq is tuned your torque converter will crap out and you gotta get a new trans

You should get the Redsport rwd differential it has a different final drive and is good for digs and top speed and turn it into an lsd

You will need a "2016+ Transmission bracket carrier holder (AWD Or RWD)" and a "2016+ Vr30 transmission (AWD or RWD)".

Not to knock the swap… ur not gonna gain any speed or “power” from just a trans swap. Ur feeling placebo effect. Vr trans swap just for those who making wayyyy more power/torque with the vq than what the 3.7 trans can handle. Because the 3.0T has an insane amount of torque they naturally make the Vr trans way more beefy to withstand that substantial difference between the vq and the Vr.

@@Mad_Rass.mk6gli Vr trans us definitely there for support a greater power threshold, but undeniably the car is going to shift more responsive therefore taking away any delay and making it feel faster, there is definitely a speed difference as i’ve raced a tuned q50 and was able to keep up. a bone stock 3.7 q50 vs a bone stock 3.7 q50 with vr trans swap isnt going to be a neck and neck race bro
