I knew it… Just needed confirmation from you… lol. Almost fell for it.. but like you said better spend something that is more functional and will benefit your Q… Thanks for your input. Hope you also make a video about changing your bleeder port, from the back of the engine. Its about the water cooling systm. The OEM is plastic and can deteriorate over time.. but theres no video about how to bleed or burp it after installing. Hope you make one soon. Thanks for all your vids! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

VR30 airboxes are fine for 98% of everyone. Unless you want to push 650+whp, just throw some drop in filters in and call it a day.

Endless your car is known for having bad intakes theres not much reason to replace them. exhaust on the other hand trends to have increase in most cars, due to stock cats being limiting along with diameter in some cases

unrelated question, i got a 2014 q50 hybrid and if i were to get a regular muffler delete would that cause me to fail emissions tests? Im from illinois. Thank you!!

A catback exhaust ,muffler, or a resonator delete won’t affect any of your emissions your car can be loud af as long it has cats your should be fine

Understood. I mentioned that in the video--they are more aesthetic than anything and if you're cool with that, then great! They shouldn't hurt anything in terms of performance.

Dyno test it and find out, seems to me that putting the air intake behind the grill will draw in more air then the inlets from factory that seem to be more restricted from the hood or pulling in hot air from the engine 🤔

I offered to test the product. No response. Also, if you're familiar with the intake design of the Q50, as I explained in the video, the car already pulls air directly from the grill via the factory shroud. It's actually an even more direct path than these inlets. The factory air boxes also insulate the intake air from the engine bay heat, so impact on IATs is minimal. They look cool, but no dyno testing is necessary, honestly. Not on the Q50 anyway.

hello wonder if you can help me please so i bought a car the car has berk test pipes (i didnt knew before buying sadly) and has a tune i know that because that is why it failed smog test because of software modification (vehicle computer software does not match an accepted configuration visual inspection pass functional inspection modified software) but everything else passed like visual inspection pass liquid fuel leak pass smoke check pass RESULT MODIFIED SW OBD II) i called local dealer and said they can re-install original software for 250 bucks and it would take around 3 hours into the car now you think it will pass smog ? or will i have more problems like check engine because it has those berk installed and now smog test would fail for emission or something like that i live in california they dont longer do the smog sniffer test only OBD II please help me i really need an advise now i don`t really know what kind of tune it has how can i find out? i only have maps 1 to 4 when i go to 4 the car turns off only 1, 2, 3, work but i honestly dont know anything, now when you dont have tune you are not able to change maps or still you can do that?

You can only change maps with a tune. It’s most likely ecutek. The tune is attached to your VIN so you could go to a tuner and see what you have done. The dealer reinstalling factory sw may cause a check engine light. I don’t know that there is any way to pass smog unless putting everything back to stock

@@SpeedCultureStudios thanks for the information yes i been searching for information online and i found out the exact product it says that they have CEL fixed protection or something but only works best with car years from 2006 and under, in this case is it possible to use cats from another infiniti q50 3.7? or a g37? there may be other infiniti cars sold for parts available in facebook market place and with luck i might able to find those parts, what is your advice or guidance ? also if its possible should i try to get them first then go to dealer and do SW Reset or that does not matter

Talking with SOHO motorsports, they say they are yet to see anything do much better than the factory air boxes. I could see how they could help keep intake air temps down a bit but only slightly I’d guess

It really depends on your build, stock turbos don’t really need it unless your really in need of the extra 14-20hp. PS2 or RTs will definitely benefit. This is in reference to intakes not the scoops. Those don’t work at all.

How much difference will the z1 intake give us upper & lower ported with the top intake? Is it worth replacing the factory intake?

I’ve seen varying results for the ported manifold. If you’re doing everything possible to get every bit of hp - 3” intakes, headers, e85 etc, then you might see better results from the ported manifold

If their only gonna give 10hp for the 800 or so it cost I'm trying to compare what's the best options for the last 1k to put into the car?

@@jeremyswerbensky8351 Doing anything with exhaust? If you're chaging the intake and exhaust, you'll want to tune the car, otherwise its all pointless. I assume you plan on tuning? That will be about $1,000.

You can port the manifold yourself. I did it myself and literally gave me 5 more hp

They help keep the intake air temps down slightly so can potentially help with preventing heat soak but still really don’t provide much in terms of hp gains. Again, the G37 likes intakes better than the Q
