Thanks Q8 for showing us this fabaulous scenery. I had all 3 GB packs in XP-11 and really enjoyed them, I hope they continue upgrading them to XP-12, well worth it. At 1:08:09 just over your wing the Scottish Exhibition Centre is nicely modelled (looks like an armadillo). Spent many happy hours on the Clyde building warships and to my eye, Orbx has done a very nice job. Thanks Q8 for your content.

yes, they definitely still work, it was one of the first things I did when I installed Xplane 12.

@@jonathanchurchill976 I did the same with the US west coast sceneries, but some of the airports I frequented had misaligned scenery, trees on the runway and notably all trees in the western US were XP11 ones, not the nice XP12 ones. Don't know if it's the same with the XP11 UK sceneries.

there is a few problems i see you didn't notice, that bridge at Oban is floating with a bridge under it with the cars going over it, also there is still 2d trees mixed in the scenery next to roads and houses, also the shore lines are not masked properly, i feel they have not done anything apart from make it worse than what it was on x plane 11all they have done is made it available in the orbx central. yes it looks nice from above but when you get close in well what can i say.

They have done the minimal to make it compatible with XP12 which to be fair is reflected in the upgrade price.

Thank you for the great video. Do love this scenery. I have a new computer with Radeon RX 7800 XT card and I cant figure how to stop the trees and water shimmering otherwise its awesome. Had the three for xp 11.

Disappointed to see the lack of option to enable terrain decals. This was an inconsistency between TE South and Central with XP11.

what do you mean by terrain decals ?? And which TE GB region had it in XP11 ?

@@hodgeheg480 got you! So is this what I remember being called "gritty textures" on orthos. Definitely necessary for aerials-based scenery. Do you by any chance know which other TE regions have/don't have this feature in XP11?

I'm no expert but, it would make sense to me that the XP11 version should be uninstalled from XP12 before installing the XP12 version. I'll be uninstalling it via ORBx Central. I have the XP11 ORBx Edinburgh and Dundee airports installed in XP12 and I'm going to leave those in and see whether they play nice with the XP12 TE GB North scenery 🙂 🤞

I’m reinstalling now and the scenery didn’t show up the first time I think because I had Tai models London Heathrow installed? I uninstalled everything and am reinstalling I also uninstalled the Europe default DLC Will all that make the scenery show?

It used XP12 3D trees when enabled.

@@jankin880a day will come when streaming scenery/photogrammetry will be accessible by small companies like laminar, and that day we ll finally have the definitive sim. In the meantime lets hope msfs 24 improves flight model and xplane visual quality
