Dabura is same power level tbh. And has magic like Medusa, cell was only OP because he has all of the Z fighters techniques, has all of their data up until the beginning of the android arc on them, and he has regen. Ssj2 gohan (teen) beat cell and was dominating the fight, he got cocky and others around the fight were a distraction. That being said, non arrogant ssj2 adult gohan was still enough to beat dabura tbh, and adult gohan 1v1 perfect cell (not super perfect) would still be a hard battle for both fighters. that being said, if Bojack FP is approximately around that strength of level perfect cell, he could give cell and equally challenging fight as adult ssj2 gohan would. This makes sense because both Cell and Bojack were completely dominated by ssj2 teen gohan, even though that gohan isn’t cannon. We can scale like this because just like cell, Bojack FP is capable of slapping up MULTIPLE ssj1’s just like, you guessed it, Cell. And he did this with no intel on super Saiyans, their moves, or regeneration. Saying he stands no chance against cell is slander.

I watch the Bojack movie not too long ago and Bojangales fought mostly with his minions who were able to hold off Gohan for a little bit but the Gohan actually tried won after like one attack after killing most of his minions. I’m inclined to believe Cell would win because he has regeneration and Zenki boost of his own where as Bojacky just has a one and done power boost… plus Bojack-O-Pose lacks any self awareness, he might stood a chance against Gohan had he kept Zangya alive or help his minions out a bit more in the final part of his fight.

I've just thought of something. Cell has Namekian regeneration power and Saiyan abilities to grow stronger during battle and especially after healing the injuries and wounds from such battles. That means Perfect Cell would've been stronger when he fought Gohan at first than when he fought Vegeta and Trunks. Vegeta and Goku blasted off half of Cell's body but Cell regenerated. Wouldn't he have gotten zenkais from both? Also another one after eating the senzu bean Goku gave him. Even with all of that, Gohan in SS1 was allegedly around the same level as Cell (maybe not at full power but still) and as an SS2 he absolutely trounced Cell. Suoer Perfect Cell was fully healed and he got the biggest zenkai but he wasn't as powerful as Gohan and the proof is in the pudding, he lost the beam struggle as soon as Gohan saw an opening to unleash his full power and obliterate him even with only one arm and bad injuries from the fight in SS1. Bojack might have had a slight edge over SP Cell in terms of raw power but he didn't have Cell's durability and technique, so he'd definitely lose the fight.

Zenkais only kick in if you are in danger and you are dying, Cell can walk without his upper body. This makes it harder for Cell to get Zenkais because he's not really in danger when you hurt him. So he literally has to get most of his body destroyed to get a Zenkai while Vegeta gets a zenkai if he gets a hole in his chest.

One big note in Bojack's defense (though I still agree cell is stronger) is the fact that: Gohan had learned what keeping an enemy alive could do. Cell taught him to _elminate the enemy quickly, if you can._ Because of this, when fighting Bojack, he probably didn't hold back for a single second. As opposed to Cell, he was toying with him before Super-Perfect, then his overconfidence hit him like a fright train when he took the blast to save Vegeta. Against Bojack, he knew what he had to do once he hit SSJ2. No game. No holding back. Everything, right now, all at once. If Super Perfect Cell came back, and didn't get a wound in, Gohan might have been able to obliterate him in a single instant just as he did Bojack, and that's without a Zenkai. It's a bit of What-if and maybe, but it is still something to consider.

It makes sense during the 3 year Android timeskip, but when they absolutely need power, even Vegeta is willing to make concessions (submitting to Babidi, fusion, Super Saiyan God ritual, etc). In other words, Saiyans are prideful, but not uncritical. Whenever an immediate threat happens, they will do what it takes for their loved ones. If zenkais were adamant and spammable, then everyone should have just zenkai spammed against Buu, when the situation was dire, or zenkai spammed against Goku Black. It’s also worth noting that Gohan and Trunks don’t have this weakness, and would certainly seize power at the first chance.

You can't use "movie pacing" arguments without also accepting that "zenkai" powerups ended in namek. They're the same kind of argument, that disregard in-universe logic, and venture into the psyche of the author and other real world factors. In the canon material, no saiyajin ever got a recovery powerup after SSJ was introduced as a replacement concept. And if you want to use real world arguments, you need to consider the fact that movie writers did not know (nor care) about the real power scaling of the characters, which explains why, for example, movie 8 ssj gohan wasn't way stronger than son and the others, or movie 10 SSJ2 gohan wasn't weaker than his kid self. The writers didn't know. Movies are tricky, they have a lot of consistency problems and we can't use them as basis for powerscaling (except when a character is movie-only). The canon wins for son, gohan, trunks, vegeta who aren't movie-only characters. Movie-only characters must be scaled relative to canon characters, and not the other way around. So instead of "Trunks was stronger that's why he can fight bojack's henchmen", the reality is that bojack's henchmen are weak, that's why trunks can fight them, because trunks himself is weak in the canon.

Now you take that Same Gohan, add 50% power to it. Then add a Zenkai too him as well. And THATS the gohan BOjack had to face. Not some 50% weakened wimp. Bojack DOMINATED a Zenaki Amped Gohan, who was way stronger than himself at the Cell Games in SSJ 1. That SSJ1 Gohan could argueable beat Super Powerfect cell. Since Zenaki's are exponential, and attempt to bring you up to the same level as the person you're fighting, so it would try to bring gohan up to Super Perfect cell's level + Kamehameha power. Aka close to his SSJ2 at 50% power. Which is consistant, cuz guess what, if he becomes as strong as old self as a SSJ2 at 50%, and then adds SSj2 to that, well SSJ2 is a x2 increase, so he'd be...as strong as his own SSJ 2 with emotional amp, without the emotional amp, and could get much much stronger with a rage boost ontop of his SSJ2. Its all consistant that Bojack would be way stronger than Cell.

(its never shown Cell getting Zenkai's from any time he regenerates except from when he was a single cell) Vs Goku's kamehameha, and vs Final flash, he gets no zenkai. So i dont think this type of damage gives it to him. Cell states himself he was extremely lucky to have had 1 cell left. He has regen and abiltiity benefit, but these dont seem to matter siince it would be consistant for Bojack to be 10-15% or even more stronger than him. And at this level of power, there's a massive gap. Easily 1shottable. And he'd beable to do very ltitle damage to bojack. he could get lucky and survive by 1 cell. But thats really unlikely. So i get your points, but being leniant. Cell isn't strong enough to do any damage. Zenkai's wouldnt work as you've pointed out in the video. Cell's own body blowing up couldnt even kill himself. Bojack prob has more AP than that self destruction, and would 1shot Cell. Bojack isn't there for a fight vs Cell, he dosent care, he'll just kill him he's a ruthless space pirate, even tho he's cocky. He's there only to fight goku. Light skin bojack massively outscaled a stornger gohan, who was already way stronger than Goku during the cell games, just in ssj1. Anyways, hopefully this offers some good points

Yes, normal regeneration tires him, but nucleus rebuilding gives him a power up (his entire body is rebuilt stronger, instead of only fixing the parts that broke)

Bojack is only at about 80% of regular Perfect Cell, Super Cell would body him hard. The reason I say that it's because Gohan as SSJ held his own a little bit against Bojack who was serious that entire time, while Gohan couldn't do anything against Cell who was holding back at the time, even their performances against SSJ2 Gohan say a lot, Gohan ONESHOT Bojack while Cell did put up somewhat of a scuffle against him even though Gohan was holding back and that's not even mentioning the technique and hax advantage Cell has over Bojack

Gohan could of one shot cell 2. Cell was never close 2 gohans power even after blowing himself up. The reason why gohan had so much trouble is he hates fighting. I think that should be obvious considering gohan lost most of his power after his injury and still killed cell.

SSJ2 Gohan was always stronger than both, it's just that Unbound Bojack didn't have the benefit of Gohan's mental state weakening him because of an injury. Also the fact that Gohan wanted to make Cell suffer, while in Unbound, Gohan just wanted the fight to end as quickly as possible, which is why Bojack went down so quickly. In a standard fight between the two green fellas, Cell would win, if only because of BS regeneration. If he could make a plot hole with the placement of his core once, he could do it again. Just like that one kid that always goes "nuh uh, I have special armor that protects me from your attacks" when playing pretend. Now, if you remove that factor, then it would be somewhat even. But I still think Cell would win on account of the sheer list of moves he has.

The movie pacing excuse only really works with the old movies. For whatever reason they wanted the hero's to struggle while in their base forms and then become invincible after going Super Saiyan. This happen just about half the time. Like when Cooler originally arrived on Earth. His 5th form overwhelmed Base Goku and then Super Saiyan became too much for him. This doesn't happen in the new movies. Both Battle of Gods and Resurrection F had Goku transforming and then still having a hard time against his opponent. Even in DBS Broly while it seemed like every attack was too much for Broly he kept coming back for more. This is even true of Super hero. Because even though Gohan unlocked a new much more powerful form he still struggled as a regular Super Saiyan. If Bojack Unbound was to get a remake I have no doubt that it would get the Broly treatment and Bojack would be scaled to at least Cell Max.

When Cell blew himself up, he had reverted to his second form after Gohan punched him so hard that he spit up Android 18. Gohan was dominating the fight even before Cell reverted to his previous state. The reason Cell decided to blow himself up was because he knew the fight was over and he was no match for Gohan.
