It's no equivalence, false or otherwise. Perhaps you're not familiar with social made and the Sanders fans. Many of them are not rational, and cannot brook any criticism of their demigod. They just cannot deal with it. At the end of the day Sanders is a politician. He's not a demigod, and he has yet to foment seismic political changes. The mythologizing and personality worship just leads to more failure. At the end of the day, Sanders is lionized, especially by his younger fans, after decades of delivering precious little. It's ridiculous, and a symptom of why the righteous left keeps failing, while the evil (I'm not being sarcastic here -- those fuckers are evil) far right keeps having victories. The left refuses to vary its approach after failure after failure after failure. It's as if they have a biblical sense of entitlement, and would rather feel righteous resentment rather than succeed at anything. Sanders is just a symptom -- he himself is not evil or deplorable.
