Have been married to a Maltese woman for a bit over 40 years now. We have had pastizz's during holidays mostly when the older Malta folks were alive, but now its just my wife and her sisters. I discovered that there is a limit on how many pastizz's you can eat in a day or several days in a row. After our two day stay in Valetta we moved over to Nadur in Gozo to stay with family for almost 2 weeks. Wife and I started cutting pastizzi's in half, also Qassatat. My wife enjoyed the first version she tried of Qassatat which had ricotta and mushroom. (the stand charged 90 cents EU for pastizzi's and 1.5 EU for Qassatat.
