Qatar Airways Qsuite | Doha - Montreal | Qatar Airways Business Class | B777-300ER | Trip Report

Welcome to another Qsuite video, this time from Doha to Montreal on the only retro jet in the Qatar Airways fleet!
While you may consider yourself fortunate if you ever get to fly the Qsuite, keep in mind that it’s not always the product you might get. My journey starts in Sharjah flying the worst premium product in the fleet followed by the incredible Qsuite. I’ll include some of that footage too.
We’re flying all the way to Montréal from Doha, which gives us just over 12 hours to enjoy the exclusive Qsuite product.
While it has been quite a long time in service, it’s still a product that hasn’t been beaten yet.

Thanks for being here Paul! Regarding Doha, I’m there almost twice a month so it feels like home. It just became “the gate is either close or very far”, “it’s empty or packed with people” or “I’m headed to this lounge or that lounge”. De eerste keer dat ik ooit met de “Gamechanger First Class” van Emirates vloog hoorde ik een Zwitserse man achter mij klagen “this is how horses get transported, I hate it”. En terwijl dat een “First world problem” is heb ik hetzelfde probleem. Ik zit gewoon vast in een bakje. Deurtje laat ik altijd open maar bijna iedereen om mij heen had hem dicht. hey alex, i love your vids bro and for me i think you are my fav youtuber and the best aviation youtuber out there mate, i have sub from day one as your timing on the vids are spot on! Now i got something for you if you go to Asia, so book a flight with Bangkok airways from Bangkok Thailand to Koh Samui Thailand on the a319 in Asia's most boutique airline for as cheap as other low cost airlines, this will offer you free service to the rest area at both airports and buffet room for free as well, you get 2 free meals on board and also a free seat selection, and when you arrive at Koh Samui airport you will be blown away as it is called the outdoor airport as there is nothing inside, so i hope you do this trip report as i really recommend it

I flew the 737 max with qatar airways from Medina to doha in Business. And tbh I really enjoyed it. I was the only passanger in business with one older lady and the Crew was awesome, also loved it that I had one of the first class busses basically for myself^^

This beautiful video brought back wonderful memories of my years in Doha. The country has grown significantly since then. At 12:58, in the lower left corner, you can see the pyramid-like structure of the Sheraton Hotel. Back in the '90s, it was one of the few landmarks, as there were no other towers. However, I noticed an error: you mentioned the population of Qatar is 666,000. The actual population is around 2.9 million, with native Qataris making up about 300,000 to 350,000 of that number.

1:56 Yeah I too knew that QR had a sub-fleet of narrow bodies with these basic interiors. That said, they are only used on very short hops (less than 2 hours). I honestly think it is a waste to send a fancy wide body with lie flat suites and flagship product on a flight that is barely 1 hour as there is no time to enjoy it. Nonetheless great video!

1:41 The A320 Business Class seats being sold as First Class is literally something Qatar Airways’ oneworld partners, American Airlines and Alaska Airlines would do, except Alaska Airlines only flies the Boeing 737 while American Airlines flies the Boeing 737 and A320.

I not sure about this, but i found that on routes with majority of the passengers from South Asia, the odds of getting upgrade is higher than any other routes. For example, i scored one from Doha to Colombo. While a KZbinr got his from Karachi to Doha.

That has an easy explanation; flights to/from Asia have a massive demand in Economy Class but much less in Business Class. It is normal to just have 3 passengers booked in Business Class while Economy is overbooked by 40. So many do get upgraded. It’s however different for the major Indian cities though, there is a lot of Premium demand there.

I think I’ve seen a lot, but one of the strangest experiences was also a sad one. It was a woman in her early 30’s with some hardcore schizophrenia. She had run out of medication while on her holidays so she was experiencing a lot of effects during the flight, and somehow got acquainted to me so lots of those effects, visions and things were directed to me. Won’t go into details but it made for a very long flight.

i travelled in the same flight from doha to montreal this aircraft was very noisy not sure y but compared to A350 and other 777 which i have taken as connecting flight was much better but particularly this retro aircraft was a bit old and very noisy making the the journey a bit unpleasent but the service from qatar airways was top notch

The Business Class cabin: **Highly Luxurious, Spacious and has modern IFE** The Economy Class cabin: 💀💀💀 (The way they retrofitted the outer skin of the aircraft, They better retrofit the inside of the aircraft too with the NEW UPDATED Qsuites and a new Economy Class seating. Because honestly, the economy seats are FAR TOO Outdated)

the things is that even when the Economy Class is outdated when compared to their own cabins, it’s still a very competitive product in general. But yes, I agree with you. I guess these older B777 are on their way out soon.
