It’s so sad how many people in NE were relentlessly cruel to him and got so personal about things that aren’t even real. It was ugly on and off the field more than ever this year with how he was treated and used as scapegoat. I think most people don’t know the half of it. He's a hard worker, the pats gave him zero protection and nobody to throw to, he's had games where the pressure rate was over 40%, which is ridiculous. Bill knew this sort of thing messes up the pocket timing of a qb but he kept doing this to mac game after game.

Maybe this is the change he needs. The Pats were not a good fit for him. Jim Plunkett was a former Pats QB who has a few good years with the Pats in the 70s but his career really took off after he went to the Raiders. It could happen for Mac in Jacksonville

I was a Belichick fan for years. IMO, too many so-called 'friends'' weaseled their way onto his staff. Mac didn't bow down to them - particularly the unqualified ones. Not a good situation. So, now Mac is back in J'ville. And Mac can learn from Doug Pederson and staff. Pederson is probably the most qualified guy in the NFL to teach young QBs. Great opportunity for Mac. And must feel amazing for Mac to be back home.

A lot of New England fans really don't like him because he's been the biggest scapegoat besides Belichick and Patricia for the team not being good. Part of it is true, but most of it is pure BS.
