To be fair, it's not normal or intelligent to think surgical masks stop oxygen. I could literally run a mile with a face mask on. If you've EVER had surgery, the surgeons would have performed your surgery, for hours on end, with a face mask on. Any one thick enough to claim they cause oxygen deprivation is a bit thick. I work at a hospital and was forced to wear a mask throughout COVID but i never threw hissy fits and perpetuated lame myths, i just wore it.

Completely understandable, anyone knows that’s not his natural state in the slightest. That’s not even conjecture, anyone who’s ever taken the time to approach him in person will tell you the exact same thing, the dude never fails to show love and, believe it or not, will actually remember you from a 5 minute chat before/after a show from years prior. He was always active and personable on the SES forums back in the day, and I was luckily enough to be involved in the beta testing for both DIY Scratch Practice DvDs. I don’t know if it was a thank you for participating in the testing or what, but I was invited to come sesh at the octagon at some point afterwards, and I was an absolute fucking nobody. Personal hero status and he just invites you to his crib just to hang and skratch along with who the hell knows what other legends might be in the mix when you get there. Never made it being I lived in LaHabra at the time and while I made up some stupid af reason that I couldn’t make it as if it was any worthy excuse, truth is I was just too chicken shit to take him up on it, and I never forgave myself for that either. To me that was fucking everything tho, just being extended the invitation to come thru to the octagon, that’s essentially winning Wonkas golden fucking ticket, and the gesture left a huge impression on me early on. Every time I’ve had the opportunity to chat with him over the years since he’s upheld that initial impression in his candor and overall generosity with his time. Any way you slice it, that shit is pure class, and of a pretty rare kind these days if you ask me.
