I used to have netgear orbi gear. They were buggy as hell. I then discovered ubiquiti/amplifi gear. Substantially more reliable.

Best hands down. I switched to the Orbi and h=if you want really good Wi-Fi this is most certain the one to get, otherwise go for the Google one.

These WiFi 7 systems are crazy expensive. I have a TP Link WiFi 6 system that I paid like $350 for and it works incredibly well

No doubt this is premium hardware but 2300 for the pieces is crazy expensive. The Deco ones wifi 7 are like 600 for the 3 piece pack.

I have a question for you... you may not answer, but I will still ask. When you set up the mesh system. Did you have the satelites connect wireless to the router and each other? As said, the new system has a dedicated antenna for wireless backhaul with less interference. Also, if you didn't and did infact do a wired backhaul. Which way did you do it? Modem Internet Port----------Router 10Gb Internet Port (then) Router 10Gb Ethernet Port ----------Satelite One 10Gb Ethernet Port (then) Satelite One 2.5 Gb Ethernet Port----------Satelite Two 10Gb Ethernet Port Or did you do it this way Modem Internet Port----------Router 10Gb Internet Port (then) Router 10Gb Ethernet Port----------10Gb Splitter (then) 10Gb Splitter ===== Satelite One 10Gb Port & Satelite Two 10Gb Port With what I understand the last method although a bit more compex would provide the fastest and most consistent speeds to both satelites since they are connected through the 10Gb ports. The first method would cause Satelite Two to lose speed since it would br limited to the 2.5 Ethernet port it was connected to on Satelite One. Howerver if your only paying for 1 gig serveice it wouldn't matter. However, I personally am getting the 5 gig plan from AT&T. So when i get this mesh system I will have to backhaul wire it like the 2nd method to benifit from those 10Gb Ethernet ports so both sateleite can get close to 5 gig speeds

The price is insane. Netgear should sell them cheap and make lots of sales rather than sell them at this price and no one buys them… Even you didn’t recommend buying then and didn’t mention the price… which says it all! No doubt they are good but come on Netgear!

Have Netgear reinstated the Daisy Chain option for their WiFi 7 routers. They dropped the ability to force connect a satellite to another satellite in their WiFi 6 system and it's the main reason I didn't buy an orbi WiFi 6 mesh. Being able to connect node to node is a pretty standard feature on nearly every other mesh system, but not Netgear time I checked.

970 is a bit ridiculous for 99% of users. I have gig down and up and I get my full gig on everything connected 6e or 7 with the 770 system at $800.
