I currently have the Nubia Z50 Ultra. I've been using this for over a year and I'm loving it. I think it will be difficult for me to switch back to a screen with camera cutouts. The uninterrupted view on the screen is really something. It's so immersive. Seeing the Z70 Ultra is really tempting me. But I am currently broke. 😅 Maybe I'll wait for the Z80 Ultra.

Smart move. Ive planned to upgrade from Z60U but ultimately chose to wait for next year probable Z80U because of how much upgrades Nubia packed in Z70U but keep selling it at exact same price as my current Z60U at launch for both 16/512GB model! Hopefully Nubia keep this strategy for future Z80U, or else I will just buy Z70U at reduced price anyway. Time'll tell.

It definitely has stereo speakers. The earpiece speaker is surprisingly loud and can be tune to bassy-sounded, more than the main speaker.

One consequence of the low price point might be the missing update issue, don't expect that much updates overall.

i can tell you. the biggest sale factor: the screen is 6.85" - having a res of 1216x2688 -> 430 PPI (for comparison: Pixel 8 Pro has a res of 1344x2992 -> ~489 PPI at 6.8" /// S22 Ultra: 1440x3088 -> 500 PPI at 6.8") so the screen is bottom of the barrel in terms of resolution to the size in modern days. (3-4 years ago it was considered to be good / normal) - no mention of an LTPO display so its either 60-144hz mode only & cant go down to 1hz - No wireless charging - prob cheaper glass (Longxi glass (gen 2)) idk how good it is compared to gorilla - 16mp front lens, under display still a cheaper lens. - optical fingerprint sensor, no ultra sonic. - 2000 peak nits while others achieve 5000 "max" (though i agree its marketing and only 1 pixel, but it makes HDR content still better) - very poor update support. (3 years & they take forever to release) alternative minor difference to other older flagships no one cares about: - 24-bit audio while some others already have 32-bit - no UWB support (for now)

ive had z50 and z60 the honey moon phase is amazing but everything starts to fall apart with the software and unusual camera issues, i wont go in detail but it look's good and sometimes takes amazing pictures and sometimes works the way you want.

don't use 85 or 140 for shots, only use 70 or 350 mm if you want the best clarity. also mcpro 24fps & gcam improves a lot the shots taken by nubia phones

Honestly, I wish the updates were lesser. I dream of a phone that only gets update like once a year. I'm not sure but my observation is; the more update you do with your phone, the slower it gets over time, the faster its battery drains, etc. I deliberately don't update the phone I'm currently using and I notice that it maintains its smoothness and long-lasting battery life

Mmm I am waiting for nubia to start using a 1inch sensor with the variable aperture, I have a nubia z60s pro and the main & ultra wide sensors are the same for both phones less the variable aperture on mine. I really hope they upgrade their sensors then they will compete with other high-end devices and have a clear os update path.

As long the pixels is not unlit at that camera part, that camera wont see a thing. Unlike conventional "hole camera", the notification part is almost usually lit or tinted by app's color, thus nothing can peek thru. Ive tried it myself while testing the new replacement display before assembling it for my z60u before, cant see s**t. No wonder this in-display camera is sooo bad. Night and day compared to my not-great-at-all poco f2 pro front cam. Lol

I. prob currently the lowest res. / PPI screen in the market from this SoC. (430 ppi is just bottom of the barrel at 6,85" screen. oof) II. No wireless charging III. Samsung will have the same SoC IV. 64mp only for telephoto lens & 64mp is pretty much normal these days, others have a 200mp lens. - but the main lens which can go 9 steps from F1,59 to F/4.0 is good V. 16mp front which is outdated but appreciate having no punch-hole. though it makes it a blurry picture. VI. their software support take ages till it arrives. but for the price. still damn competitive

​@@Vss077point no 4 is bit misleading. MPs count is not really a breaking point in such small sensor for smartphone. It is mostly a marketing "punchline". Sensor/pixel size, lens/coating quality and stabilization is the most important physical aspect. Take a look at decent cameraphone such iphone and pixel series, they stick to good physical parameter and of course the most important aspect, software post-processing.

@@primonda56 it depends. For a main lens I would agree. But telephoto/periscope u can see the difference. Ofc it's a bit of marketing but it helps in terms of quality when ur able to crop. Most ppl take 12mp shots with the 50-200mp lenses. Barely anyone uses the "full res" mode. But the way they crop 100mp into 12mp helps a lot. iPhones are kinda bad when it comes to being a good "camera". For movies/recording sure but photos are from 2020. Pixel are good but also having issues, bad coating creating lens flares etc + the "pixel look" some like it some don't. And yes I have one and it loves to create them when having a light source in sight.

The z60 ultra was already bad but he had some good hardware like the big 18mm ultra wide camera sensor farbiggerthen this cheap one 1.55 vs 2.88 (under 16mm the shots will look distorted they name it as fish eye look but no it's just distortion and un usual 18mm is far better and can offer you a 24mm cropping withat big sensor. Main camera is down from imx 906 1.49 to 890 1.55 and added variable aperture u kidding me who cares about it. It just takes space even xiaomi now is removing it from there phone cz its just a waste of space. In this space u can put a 1.28 lyt 818 in 35mm not a variable.... pfffff. And they improved nothing in there super bad stabilization is just so baad. Then the telephoto got down from 85 mm to 70mm and they claimes that is a f2.5 hahaha so funny looking at that small lans loool layers the anly thing that they tweaked it to support macro with that poor stabilisation. I saw in other videos that the algorithm is the same the main is good like z60 ultra tele is okay yhe ultra wide as expected is soooooo baddd. The stabilization in all of tham is so bad . And they ask for 730$ you kidding me for whatt ? I have a brain.
