This is probably my favorite Qigang Chen piece (except maybe Iris dévoilée). It's so gorgeous and simply happifying, especially 17:38, so I'm glad to finally have a score video for it!

Holy shit as soon as I started my Qigang Chen deep dive and have started learning Er Huang. The most based score video channel as usual 👍

@@StockyScoresRaoraPantheraFC it's one of those pieces where only very specific parts are hard, mainly the bit with the staccato leaps in the right hand in the middle but most of the rest of it is actually fine (at least to me)

It's like my favorite 4 seconds of Honegger Symphony #4 stretched out to 25 minutes. Absolutely sublime. Thank you for this upload!

Just WOW. I wish my teachers would tell me about orchestral pieces after the 2000s, this is mind blowing.

More than that, I'd like to know more recent orchestral pieces that do not sound like horror movie soundtrack! This is really amazing!

In the bars coming after minute 9 the violins are detachè instead of following the written legature (and sounds very good)

U write that description up? One my favorite things to do when I’ve got a chance is, well the info and back ground to composer’s and the individual pieces of music and sonic art, so reading those which are sort of hidden and a cool extra, thanks for the passion to care enough to do that and I think you include that on many of nnot all score videos, music. I’ll go further, when I can damn see the line Melodie’s are taken and how many beats a chord or interval get in the mix and seeing such broad and vast means of composition and the music is what it is really, these vivid and textured lush or layers or like janacek, Leos, that’s different how he has his music all work together and such, anyways. Yeah cool!

It is such an amazing little showcase of Chen's orchestral mastery, and I had the great pleasure of hearing it in person, so perhaps, in a little while. Will have to get other things off the to-do list first though (and the billibilli video existing does lower its priority somewhat)

@@Cmaj7 Wu Xing is also one of my favorites. I've been wanting to study the textures in the Water section particularly for a while now. I'm very excited that there is finally a score video! I haven't heard this particular piece yet but I'm certainly going to listen when I get the chance. Chen never fails to impress

初めて聞いた感想としては、打楽器とヴァイオリンのための協奏曲、という感じでしょうか。 また、構成もはっきりしていて聞きやすいように感じました。 旋律の音階にも特徴を感じるところが多かったように思います。

Some very beautiful impressionistic textures! Maybe it sounds a bit too much like Studio Ghibli or some Zelda game after a while (which is also very nice music, but tends to get generic sometimes).

Definitely at his strongest in slow shimmering passages. Gorgeous. Faster sections seem to struggle to keep my attention... maybe would benefit from some classically trained melodic development and orchestration?

Large agree from me. The slow passages are so intensely well done that it really makes up for it however. I could listen to the first 5 minutes of this piece for hours.
