QK strikes again! My first hhkb build. smoky red theme qk60

Qwerty keys strikses gold again.
This is my first hhkb build. Absolutely love it! Acrylic smoky top case and aluminum red bottom paired perfectly with PBTfans neon crosshair keycaps.
It sounds and feels like a typical QK keyboard and is easier to build than qk65. Highly recommend this if you wanna try a budget 60% layout keyboard.

lol you certainly got a big collection. I have been avoiding 60% for years because of arrow-keys but this qk60 is such a gem and does not cost much considering how well built it is.

Wow this setup is too clean! The case/pcb/keycap color matching is one of the best I've seen. Also, I think this might be the only video right now showcasing the PBTfans Neon + Crosshair kit, everyone else seems to have the Base kit + the tripleshot Alphas in blue. Not to mention the production quality of the vid is top notch, I was very surprised to see less than 1k subs. Keep it up!

Nice vid, does the rgb shine thru the neon keycaps? I got the clear 2048 caps and have rgb switches, but want a board that has per key rgb for the rgb shine.

neon keycaps are not fully translucent so no. QK60 does have south-facing per-key-RGBs

How is the sound of PBTfans ABS compared to GMK ABS?

PBTfans sounds a bit more deeper and feels rougher due to its higher PBT ratio. I think it is PBT/ABS blend.

Great video! I've just built one of these with the trimode pcb and unfortunately, the battery doesn't seem to work? I turned on the battery toggle switch and nothing happened. It only seems to work when the battery switch is in the off position and has a usb-c plugged in. Triple checked that the JST cable for the battery is plugged in and nothing. Any ideas as to why aside from receiving a broken battery? I've also contacted qwertykeys regarding the issue and am waiting for a response.

try fn+tab a few times. these pcbs use this to circle between wired only/bluetooth/2.4ghz mode

@@drheystudio Yeah unfortunately, I've also tried that many many times to no avail :/ Edit: The fn+tab also only works when the battery switch is in the off position and the keyboard is plugged in.

@@Alittleboi I cannot remember how to reset the pcb，try fn+esc or fn+space，if it resets. unplug and turn it on， fn +tab to 2.4ghz try again. qk will replace pcb if none of those works

I used the alu plate so, a bit more dampened than qk65. flex-wise about the same.

Connectivity wise is above average and I would suggest putting the receiver behind the monitor or on the desk. As for the battery I have not been using it long enough to tell.

Further reduce the clacky noise of the switch, it is pure personal preference. No it does not come with the kit, just some porons I found lying around~
