It's been my experience as well that cutting mud from an overly bassy set is an easier time than adding punch to a non-bassy set, at least with dynamic drivers. Good review as always.

Comply has tips that fit perfectly on the 7hz. They are foam tips with huge isolation. We use them (Complys) onstage and in the studio for many artists. They make a tip fit for almost every Iem made, you can find a complete database of iems on their site. 7hz Zeros use the 500 or 600 series according to your ears. Also, we tried the QKZ with local bands and opening acts at different venues. It was a no go for us. But, we keep a couple dozen Zeros in stock. The musicians we’ve used them with( upgrade cable and Comply tips) love them, and the qC has been good. I’ve got an order in now for another dozen in the new red color. We eq Every Iem to the artist.

@@imwhatsnew we have never had that problem. Mainly because we don’t reuse tips when we do monitors for bands, etc, we toss them after every use. This is for hygiene, a cautionary thing so no one accidentally gives a virus or flu etc to anyone else. We we’re doing this long before the pandemic. We also use an alcohol wipe to sanitize each Iem after use, and even wipe the cables down with wipes. We use many different sized tips, as there are many sizes of nozzles. Comply has the most isolation you can get in an Iem tip, and it’s a must in the studio or onstage. We have to order in quantity, in 100 count bags of each size and series. This adds cost and work for us, but no one has ever even caught a cold because of us, so it’s worth it. I highly recommend if your tips don’t fit properly to check out the database on the Comply site to find an exact fit. All the best!!! Sonny Tackett MoonDancer Studios Chameleon Speaker Systems

Our use for iems is the opposite of most Iem hobbiest. Think of it like; most of you buy to listen to recordings that are finished, eqed and mastered, the final product. We are on the other end, where the eq, processing, effects, mixing, and mastering are put onto the recording . People like us are the ones who made that vocal or guitar sound the way it does in your iems. We also use them in a monitor mix situation onstage or in the studio where we are sending what the musicians want to hear and how they need to hear it to perform properly. Every vocal and instrument is eqed into each mix, and it’s not unusual to have 12 or more mixes going to 12 different iems. I started 20 years before iems, and those same 12 mixes were going into floor wedge monitors, which we still do also. I hope this sheds a little light on the other end of the hobby, or with us a profession. I watch all these Iem video reviews, it’s very helpful, as what works for us isn’t necessarily what works for you guys. Much appreciated , keep up the reviews !!! Sonny T

I'm pretty new on the IEM scene as I've leant towards TWS earbuds. But I've read enough comments to know that aficionados of this market take the subject very seriously. That being said, I sprung for the 7hz Zeros and while I acknowledge that they are very clean sounding I just personally don't find them much fun to listen to. I have no doubt that I would enjoy these Qkz's more just because of the fun sound signature. I appreciate your informing and easy to understand style of review. It was enjoyable to watch🙂

For me I prefer the qkz hbb due to me being to eq it, same like the tangzu wan er, crazy bad without eq but insanely good with eq, but I prefer the qkz hbb from the wan er because that bass is pretty meaty and eqing it down still keeps the quality unlike how the wan er acts when I eq the bass up Though now I use the chu 2 because it's just the zero with slightly more bass, less peaky treble, and quite forward vocals. Thank you! I think at this price point there's no point talking about that..it's mostly just down to the FR. The zero's stock FR allows it to be more revealing in the mids which is where a lot of auditory information is. It is also better extended in the highs..consequently it sounds more revealing overall. Salnotes zero sounds a Bit Artificial and it has that little echo/ reverb to it which Is very noticeable which sounds cheap. Ye its a 20$ IEM so i can give out with Details but atleast sound like nature but no it sounds like "Jesus calling" it has that unwanted Heavens Reverb to it. which is the reason it sounds artificial. HBB is warm definitely warm and little bit on bassy side but atleast it sounds natural and Rich, live and cozy plus it looks and sounds not cheap despite of 20$ price. HBB is not the basehead and its falls more into everyday IDM as an all rounder in that price point.
