This looks fantastic! Our church has LOVED using QLC+ 4 and can't wait for v5.

I'm doing my research before getting into DMX light control etc. This software looks awesome, I will give it a try. Thank you for your work!

The interface design and interactions of controls seems spot on. Love the view and selections process as you see your layout and make scenes they way you visualize them. Don't know if you have plans for it, but what I would call a multi-track recorder would be a fantastic add, most useful for anyone programming lights against recorded music. You are a master of your art, like a movie preview I can't wait to see the full picture.

Jimmy Traylor Thanks Jimmy. I haven't started thinking about the Show Manager yet, but I guess I can review it as well to work with a sort of "live designing" while recording. I think my head is gonna explode as some point :D

Massimo Callegari Yea programming can do that. Heck, programming the lights can do that as I have so many ideas visualized but got to figure out the best way to set them up and the how to program my foot control to make best use. Love how it looks so far. Can I donate again?

QLC+ 5 is still in an alpha stage, so it's not ready for production. However, QLC+ 4 is, and you can do whatever you need to do.

Great Job!! will you implement a midi time code input/output on "show"?

+Vitor Machado MIDI time code, not sure (especially output). MIDI beat clock: yes

Great job man :) Can I only suggest a little thing? Why not make a list view of the fixtures? Like in the vector consoles. It's useful when you have many fixtures and you need to see the state (color, gobo, intensity) of many of that in one moment :) On other ideas: you have make the windows detachable. Why not make a "compose" page, where you can have many of that visible? (like for example have on the right the fixtures 2D view, and on the right all the control like color/intensity open (or maybe some macro, if they will exists in future), or some fixture group selection, so on big screen or touchscreen you have all your control visible and easy to reach (speeding up the scene composition) Again, good job man ;) PS: If you have a little bit of time, can I send you an email/pm/chat?

This looks amazing, Massimo! Thank you for all your work. Quick question... Can there be more than 4 DMX universes? Just thinking of adding a couple of RGB panels... We run out of Channels and Universes very quickly, lol!

I have been using QLC+ for the past 3 years and have loved t so far. Recently I have become more advanced to the point where I saw its limitations and am hyped for the big update! Thank you for everything Massimo. You are truly a genius. What programming language do u use to make QLC btw? I'm curious.
@MassimoCallegari8 жыл бұрын
QLC+ is mostly written in C++, using the Qt libraries. The new UI is written in a new language called QML, invented by the Qt company. It is a mix of JSON and JavaScript syntax, that allows to write pieces of logic directly into a very simple high level language.

Genial!! but, Please add an Ambilight effect, for a video input (with single or multi zones) to dmx fixtures will be great, much better than ARFX or Freestyler and raspberry pi community will become crazy with kodi and your dmx ambilight. Boblight software may capture colour and send it to qlc+ using virtual midi input. Thanks!!
