Hi Edward, Thank you for this detailed tutorial on using QLC+ for a theater environment... I learned a lot! I wonder how you could configure the cursors (in VC) so that they appear like in this video, in particular with the reset cross? Is this possible with version 4.12.4 or did you use version 5.0.0 beta? If so, does this beta version perform well enough for using it in a small theater environment with only a dozen PAR can lights?

Hi Yves Glad the video was helpful. Now to answer your question: When you are creating your faders in VC and you have assigned them to level mode and a fixture and you are still have the level tab selected: toward the bottom of the menu window there is a checkbox next to the words "Monitor the selected channels and update the slider level". Click on the check box and now when you exit the menu you will have the cancel X button below your slider. This also means that the sliders will update as you progress through your cues. Otherwise, the sliders would not update and just sit there doing nothing as you run your cues. QLC+ 5 Beta is a totally different animal. It is very visually based and is actually designed more for lighting techs who are DJs or lighting concert performances. Best to stick with 4.12.4 if you are doing theater. Finally, you gave me a great idea for a new tutorial to show what all the various choices under the slider menu actually do. Keep an eye out for that new tutorial and again, thanks for watching. @@edwardrichards7722 Thanks for the tip... It works fine... I can't wait for the next tutorial you talk about 🙂 Here are 2 other topics that might interest me: 1) sequences, their use and the difference between sequences and scenes. 2) configuration and use of TouchOSC on the QLC+ side and on the TouchOSC side. Thanks again for all the tutorials and their practical information. Yves

You can edit chaser from virtual consol as you do for scene ;)
