An absolute POWERHOUSE of a commander - which power level do you prefer? And which commander should we build next?

I know I'm a few months late, but I love the idea of this channel! Highlighting a "lower-tier" and "higher-tier" version of a Commander gives a lot more insight and choice into how to initially build a deck, as well as future adjustments to raise/lower it's competitiveness. You've got a new follower.

an easier combo to pull off that I just found: have a decent amount of treasures on board and play magda. sac 5 treasures to get clock of omens from the library onto the battlefield (text: Tap 2 artifacts, untap target artifact). now if you have a liquimetal torque on board it's perfect, if not, sac 5 more and get it. make magda an artifact. bam tap a treasure and magda to untap magda -> infinite treasures. But they're tapped you say. True but you can still sac them with magda and get bolas's citadel on board and it's pretty much GG since you can tap citadel, sac 10 treasure and deal 10 to everyone and then tap 2 more treasures to untap citadel. badabing badaboom

Cool deck prosper is loads of fun to play. Altar of the brood is pretty nasty in this one if u already got the magda dockside cloudstone combo out and also even on its own altar of the brood is synergizing with the stupid amounts of treasures being made... some more creatures that synergize really well with this guy would definitely be Goldspan dragon, Grenzo havoc raiser, Hellkite tyrant (WINCON!!), Etali primal storm (LOL!) :)

cool video! Do you have any other resources that list commanders like you did here on the chart/graph you made? It helps some of us on a budget who can't afford to build something and then decide it's not their style :)
@jamiep80023 жыл бұрын
Huh. My Prosper build is somewhere in between these two- A lot of the interaction from the Power build, but not the combo lines. Relies on some of the alt finishers though- reckless fireweaver, disciple of the vault, etc. I've definitely had some mixed results from certain "exile matters" cards though, and these builds have def given me some solid ideas for a couple of swap-outs.
@QMTG3 жыл бұрын
Awesome!
@MaxSpider20003 жыл бұрын
Probably because there is anti-synergy in the precon with cards that have extra effects if played from hand since there is a high chance for you to exile them. you should add cut//ribbons because you can cast cut from exile and still get it into the graveyard for the finisher with ribbons
@YellowEyedPuggle3 жыл бұрын
Great idea, but you need to blow up the cards on screen when you talk about it. Too small on moxfield when you hover over it.

I like that you have a powerful version. There are too many $50 dollar deck techs out there and not enough "expensive" deck techs for people with more disposable income.

Would you ever reconsider doing a new version of prosper? Especially with all the new cards that came out with streets of new capena and balders gate.

I doubt about how suspend cards could be casted while exiled with Prosper. By activating its ability or they are just 0 mana cost?

Yeah they can't actually be cast :/

Is a mix of both friendly and cedh viable, or is it too many variables. Things like basing your deck on the friendly, but having bolas' citadel and dockside to make things a little scarier. Or is it bad form for the friendly deck?
@danielgoldberg21293 жыл бұрын
I’ve watched a few of these Prosper videos to help me upgrade my Prosper Precon deck. I am wondering why nobody likes Lukka (Planeswalker) in this deck? It appears to be really good. Edit: As far as ideas to improve deck tech, maybe show which cards are already in the precon deck and which ones you added.
@QMTG3 жыл бұрын
Ah, great suggestion, thanks!
@MaxSpider20003 жыл бұрын
Not a bad card but you shoot yourself in the foot with the +1 because you can't cast anything but the exiled creatures. other abilities of his are also centered around big creatures which is pretty cool if you want to go that route with prosper but I'd rather see it in a gruul commander deck
@regaleagle65333 жыл бұрын
Spinerock Knoll would be an autoinclude here. Opponent or you do 7 damage and you dropping like an inferno of the star mounts down free or Fevered Suspicion. Dead of Winter is a nice pickup if you already have snowlands for Draugr I stuck it in. Its like 50 cents instead of 25 bucks for a toxic deluge pretty much. From the power version of deck reckless fireweaver missing its often stronger because it does the damage when clues and foods come out without having to pay the mana to sac them.

I have a question actually, are we agreed with da fact that the deck can never be played in competitive way? (because mOX / Lotus / and lot other than deflective or xhaos where ban? ) and , can i have an advice about what kind of cards i can replace for this one where banned? Because actually i dont see how to replace a Sol (exept with sol talisman) or other strongest card like manacrypt and other :/

That blouses citadel and aetherflux combo doesn't win though u don't gain any extra life u spend 1 life to make 1 life and draw deck
@QMTG3 жыл бұрын
Aetherflux reservoir gains you life for each spell you've cast that turn. So playing top for the first time gains you 1 life. But the second time gains you 2 life. And the third time gains you 3 life. So you're netting extra life anytime after the first cast. Sorry if it wasn't explained well in the video!
@LilwolfNirpaw3 жыл бұрын
The combo works because you continously tap and draw off the top, putting it on top of library, which allows you to recast off of the citadel, triggering aetherflux to gain you 1 life for each spell youve cast this turn. So the first time you play the top you gain one, negating the citadel life cost to cast the top from the top of library, but the second cast will gain you 2 life. then you tap and draw the next card off your sensei's top, putting it back on top and recasting of the citadel-gaining you more life. eventually youve played it enough time that aethrflux has given you hundreds of life, and you use the aetherflux second ability to nuke each other player by paying 50 life to deal 50 damage. Does that make sense?
