They assume everyone around them who believes it MUST have thought about it. It's the equivalent of copying your stupid neighbor in class (not knowing he's stupid) and assuming HE must know what the answers are, and so "apple", "monkey", and "car" seemed like reasonable answers on the math test. How would the teacher ever know you copied?

If you accept and believe that the Creator doesn't exist and even if existing is still worthless and undeserving to be honored and respected as the True and Sovereign God, then, you are obviously not a worshipper of the Creator but either an Atheist, an Agnostic, or an Evolutionist. If you accept and believe the Unbiblical teachings and doctrines of the Pastors and Leaders of Religions about "Trinity", "Armageddon", "immotality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation", then, you are obviously not a believer of Jesus Christ but either a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or member of Religions and Cults If you accept and believe what were written in Mark 12: 29, 30 and John 17: 3, then, you are clearly a worshipper of the Creator. If you accept and believe what were written in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26, then, you are clearly a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. If you are a worshipper of the Creator and follower of his Christ, then, you are definitely bringing upon yourself the Creator's favor and reward of ETERNAL LIFE and existence without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death on a safe, secure, and peaceful earth without liars, traitors, immoral, perverts, and murderers as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 and 21: 8. If you are really a believer of the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead", then, you clearly know and understand that all human beings have no immortal souls but just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths just like the animals as written in Ecclesiastes 3: 19, 20 and 9: 5,6, but all worshippers of the Creator and believers of his Christ who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Mary, Martha, Lazarus, and many others will not remain as worthless and useless dusts on earth forever, instead in the right and proper time and as written in John 11: 25, 26, Jesus Christ will resurrect them back to life so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, compassions, generosities, favors, and blessings of the Creator and his Christ for eternity as submissive and obedient subjects of the "Kingdom of God" under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Creator's Anointed King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.

@jaflenbond7854 I would prefer to say I don't believe in the existence of a creator rather than I believe the Creator doesn't exist. In fact, I think I I would prefer, I don't believe that the universe is a creation. I am not believing in something that is only a thing to not believe the existence of because some people profess a belief in it. As for "worthless dust", to intelligent life in other galaxies we, our planet, our star and galaxy are probably considered worthless dust, although some may take a passing interest. Indeed, maturity is the realisation that outside our minds and our immediate family, pets and possibly our work colleagues, we aren't worth much. In other words I am already worthless dust, dying won't change that.

Without a clear definition of "creation" any examination of evidence will be inconclusive. All of the events you described are biochemical transformations of EXISTING matter. For a conversion of energy into matter we'd be looking at subatomic particle collisions, and those strictly speaking are transformations of EXISTING energy also. Both chemical and particle transformations are ubiquitous. If you'll accept ANY change of appearance as a type of "creation," such as creating a drawing using paper and ink, then everything is constantly in a state of being created. Either way, your examples are so narrow as to be misleading.

My definition of god is anything that is worshipped by people. As a theist, I worship the God who I believe created the universe. I don’t really have evidence for the physical existence of my God, because it is not a physical thing, it is a metaphysical thing. But it is worshiped by me and others so regardless of whether it’s physical or imaginary, it is a God. Anything can be a god to someone. A statue. The sun. People. Animals. Nature. Themselves. Etc. And some of these things are proven to objectively exist. Even if it’s imaginary, it is objective truth that it exists within the imagination of a person. So I would say even an imaginary God objectively exists. God cannot exist to an atheist. Because an atheist does not worship anything as god. Even if the Christian God were proven to exist, they wouldn’t immediately bow down and worship Him as God. It would simply prove that there’s a super powerful entity. But to be “God” to them, they’d have to worship it. God is really a title people give to things. And the Christian God says give they to me only, do not worship other things. So “does God exist” really depends on the person. It’s not objective, it’s subjective. As for whether the entity claimed by Christians exists that’s hard to say because it hasn’t been physically proven and we are unable to objectively measure spirituality. I believe God exists, but atheists have taught me not to make claims without evidence so it remains for me just a belief.

If you're gonna call in to the show you should at least be ready to answer some questions about your faith?

The biggest criticism of Matt is the fact that he engages with religious people at all. Ask yourself, "Would Matt make videos debunking or challenging the existence of Santa Claus and/or the easter bunny?" That's not a joke question. Religions are just as comical, just as fanciful as the Tooth Fairy, the easter bunny, Santa Claus and Big Foot. Matt is lowering himself to even discuss this nonsense. To quote the late, great Chris Hitchens, "Religion poisons everything".

Sounds like he's afraid to admit to himself that there is no god.

Thank you for only wasting 12 minutes of our time on Andrew. Andrew is confused, intellectually dishonest and disingenuous.

I don't think he was dishonest, but he was confused. I just don't think he heard his own thoughts before. I think he got lost in the "infinite" such that something that is infinite and somehow creates isn't of this universe, and that thing therefore is his god concept, therefore he's a theist. I don't think he asked any questions around what "create" means. Functionally, even if he believes this, his beliefs about living life is equivalent to an atheist life, there's no agency or accountability to this "infinite" thing, such that you'd have to live life based on making reasoned choices of some sort. I've seen people do something similar before, and it seems to me its mostly when people want to be compatible with a "god" belief such that god is this thing that is indistinguishable from the universe.

Interesting question Let’s say someone actually did prove the existence of a god. I mean legit proof, where denying it would be as delusional as denying air exists. But this god is some African or Native American god. The kind of god that only a fraction of a fraction of people even knew about. Would the other religions stick around?
@Byrvurra Жыл бұрын
Probably yes, but I would want to know what sort of evidence you're talking about.
