I have the QooCam I’ve been making 3-D photographs back when I was a teenager, by scotch taping to Polaroid pictures together. I’m 81 years old and very active in virtual reality. I can’t wait to demonstrate this on the big screen in iN VR. I should be getting my Luma pad in a couple days. I’m excited.

Peter, I have subscribed to your channel. I will be looking forward to your projects! I am only 71 years old, and I have been interested in 3D stereography since childhood. My dad had a Stereo Realist camera, and there are 3D pictures of me as a baby in 1952, in glorious Kodachrome! I still have that camera and I shot many 3D pictures while traveling in Europe many years ago. Thirteen years ago I revived my interest in stereoscopy by doing manual 2D-to-3D conversions of photos, by drawing my own depth maps. It was extremely tedious, but I learned all the basics about parallax. Instead of anaglyphs, I have always preferred side-by-side (the classic stereo photography method since the early days of photography in the1860s). I designed a headset to view side-by-side photos and videos using optical-grade prisms, and the results were very effective. I will also be getting my Lume pad in a couple of days, and I have a Goovis Lite 3D headset arriving next week. This headset is NOT VR; I hope to graduate to VR eventually, but mastering stereo videography is my first priority, and this headset is the best for viewing 3D content and movies. I live in Hawaii and I want to make 3D videos about Hawaii for KZbin. I will soon be looking at 3D video editors -- does anyone have a suggestion? Adobe After Effects is, of course, the ultimate, but I just want some simple edit software on my computer to perform basic tasks. There was a great freeware program called StereoMovie Maker back in 2010, and still available. I haven't used it for a decade. I don't know if it edits HD and the codecs and formats have probably all changed, but it might be worth a review. I liked it because just as with the Leia Lume pad, you could adjust for the depth that you wanted. You could also choose your output format with SBS, Anaglyph, Interlaced, etc.

I'm 80 smile, I just got my Lume Pad 2. IF you upload QooCam 8k 360 degree footage to KZbin THEN play that 360 degree KZbin video on the Lume Pad 2 "Tube Player" app That video will be in 360 degree AND in 3D very Nice smile.

This is really helpful. I was copying to my PC first, and then PC to Lume Pad, but this looks much easier.

I love the size of the QOOCAM, but find the consistency of great 3D photos much higher with the LEIA PAD 2 - especially indoors. I am now doing 3D - spacial video - on my IPAD 15 pro max and hope to figure out how to play it on my LUMEPAD.

QooCam is on the way. Anything have improved since this video? I try to find all the info I can and Google brang me here. Also I see the jitter you get on the LP2 which can get annoying, any trick you found with time to minimize this? Without this issue the LP2 would be perfect.

So... this tablet is it only good for 3d? Or can it be functional as a normal tablet as well and can do school work on it?
@alanfbrookes97714 ай бұрын
Just copy your Ego files to a computer, and then from your computer to the Lume Pad 2. You don't need to use the internet.

on the lumepad 1, doing further edits in leiaplayer will abandon your stereoscopic view for an AI depth map, and you will lose true stereoscopy. So dont do that.

When I try this workflow LeiaPlayer converts my 2d sbs image to a 3d sbs image with the left and right images still shown sbs but now converted to 3d by the Leia AI. Any idea?
@dshadow888 Жыл бұрын
Not sure. You see how it worked for me.

@@dshadow888 Found some hints in the forum. For some reason the automatic 3d detection of LeiaPlayer is not very reliable so the recommended solution is to add “_2x1” to the file name. After that pics are shown correctly.
