Grohl told a hilarious story about how when he was first up in the northwest with Nirvana, they let themselves in one drunken night at Lanagan's pad while he was who knows where...Then Dave awoke on the couch to Mark smoking, staring at him and then barking, "Who the f#ck are you?" Classic! Little did they know they'd be destroying(no pun intended) stages worldwide together 10 years later!

I recently did the trip from LA to Joshua tree and visited rancho de la Luna. All the while listening to QOTSA, a full mix of all there songs. And whilst driving through the desert, I could feel there music like a million times more, literally! They are perfect desert music. This band means so much to me, thanks for sharing

So what you’re saying is you drove up to the gate lol. No one goes in. The only reason we were lucky enough is because we knew Johnny from Pappy & Harriets who knew the dudes. We had been out there shooting in the desert & camping so we offered a couple of the guys to join in to go shooting. Anyway, that’s how we got in and got to see the wonderful Patron Tree.

@MuseAbsolution 03 The only recent shows I seen of Mike since 2016 on were deadcross. While his voice of course isn't in its tip top shape I don't think its diminished very much. I think I need to see him perform live with tomahawk or faith no more to make a better assessment.

There’s something I find truly beautiful and haunting about Lanegan’s voice. Especially when he sings the “won’t you want me?” part. The shaky vibrato trailing on the end of each line, his one of a kind growl in all the right places, he was a true legend. RIP Lanegan

Wow! "Walkin On Sidewalks" is one of my favorite songs of theirs. To find a version this good is just a gift. To have Mark Lanegan singing lead, Dave Grohl on drums and that great jam on top of it all...great stuff! Wish they would stretch out more like this in concert (at least they haven't really the last few times I've seen 'em).

I just saw Qotsa in Nashville and they were absolutely amazing. However, I would do a lot to see this lineup for a full concert. I miss Nick singing some of these songs and Matt (RIP) as well. That is what truly made them unique, if they werent unique enough. I love this set because this isn't going to be winning a ton of fans but it showcases their range as a band at the time. Fucking amazing.
