I don't think dark eyes are the least attractive... we just think that by being exposed to western beauty standards. Being exposed to a lot of kdramas has made me see dark/black eyes as being sparkly and cute. Dark eyes mirror the colors surrounding them in an attractive way. Our opinions on beauty are heavily influenced by what we're exposed to and they can change in a whim depending on what's trendy at the moment. Otherwise, why else would people get mullets in their lifetime.

Upper eyelid exposure is desirable for women (Hence the eyeshadow usage). So are thinner, yet long eyebrows(threading and eyebrow pencil). Even rounder eyes with more of the whites showing (white eyeliner for waterline), but not protruding eyes. And long thick eyelashes(mascara). Makeup is used to make eyes look more desirable after all. I'm terrible at makeup so don't judge me plz

Actually...most men who suceed are above avg to me. I'm a guy btw. I've noticed that most women prefer men with dark hair and nice eyebrows. Eye area is very important. Poles are the most xenophobic towards Indians and Arabs and if you're conventionally attractive it's always going to work to your advantage. And yeah, someone here had a point that we like exoticity. It's always like that I think. When you have a country with majority of dark-skinned people, pale will be more desirable. And Poland is a Slavic country with blond/brown hair being the most common. Eye color has nothing to do with it. It's about the bone structure around the eye and cheek. That's why I'm amused by (especially dark eyed) people who wear colored contacts to "look prettier". They don't really. The reason eye color is associated with prettier eyes among the public is people with light eyes tend to have the West Eurasian low brows and upturned almond shape. But that looks just as good with brown or black.

Most people don’t have harmony. And harmony is caused by facial ratios undesirable features will fuck up desirable ratios. Almost every model or heartthrob on ig or Hollywood has the same ratios which is caused by their desire able traits which causes their harmony. For some reason I feel that "beauty" and "attractiveness" are two different things - at least in my experience. I've met a lot of people that I think are beautiful, pleasant looking, but that don't make me feel romantic or sexually attracted to them; on the other hand, I've felt attracted to people that I wouldn't label as beautiful. i.e. I think Chris Evans is a very good looking man, but I don't feel attracted to him, while I have a major crush on Colin Firth, even though I don't think he is "beautiful".

I've seen teeth alone make someone look ugly. And they used to do it on early SNL shows, Chevy Chase would play a character; all they did was change his teeth a bit and he looked much plainer. Very interesting stuff! I agree with the timing of whether you think someone is attractive. If you watch someone on TV like a newscaster they can look very attractive straight to camera. However, if they move their head and see their profile...um...errr not so much. As an older actor/model I have to know which sides of my face to move...filters also help!

You know what, I kinda find Tom Cruise's 'unattractive' face (with the edited eyes) attractive in a quaint, goofy way. Maybe that's just my taste, as I do get bored of seeing loads of the same types of faces, so I like more unique faces ( e.g. Rami Malek with his puffy eyes). It does help that his other unedited features (full hair, jawline etc) are redeeming features which compensate for the eye area

Also, I think an animated expressive face that doesn't meet all the beauty rules is far more attractive than a perfect symmetrical face with all the right contours and proportions but has dead fish eyes, and no spark of life overall. I've met some very dull-looking pretty people, pretty people who are gorgeously expressive, plain people who are radiant when they smile and plain people who look plainer than they need to because of no joy, love, or passion for anything. I notice also that people look more attractive and younger when they're happy - the whole face lifts. And slightly asymetrical eyes can be hypnotic and dazzling.

Agree with you on eye colors. I made a Pinterest board of all the actors and models I personally find attractive (purely out of curiosity) and compared them. While they do share the same eye structure, their irises vary in color. I couldn't put words on why I'm attracted to a certain facial type then, but this video cleared some things up.

I have positive canthal tilt and for most of my life I used to think it's inferior because here in India most people have neutral canthal tilt. Look I realised that I'm probably a 2/10. Being ugly definitely has its drawbacks (difficult to have relationships, partly because when you do manage to find someone interested you're always worried they're just settling for you and can't get anybody prettier) but it also has its upsides. It's easier to make friends with other women because you aren't competition to them, and you learn to value other things about yourself rather than beauty. The way I think about it, everyone ends up old and ugly eventually, and we don't have to dread it like other people do :P
