I really understand why other people don't think this is better than most of the versions we used to hear. Those versions are powerful, may kapal ang boses, at belt kung belt. And that's okay.. it's your taste, your opinion. But why is Morisette different from anyone else? At bakit talagang impressed parin ang mga fans niya sa kanya despite of the flaws? Because she knows who she is. Her fans see her spirit fighting every song she takes, and that's what makes her very compelling as a performer. Hindi puro boses ang labanan, yung connection din talaga sa tao. She doesn't compromise her own vocal strengths just to copy someone's version of this song, so that people would say, "ay ang galing, almost parehas na sa orig version!" and then maiccompare na siya sa ibang singer. No, people, it doesn't mean na pagod na siya kaya ganito yung version niya. It doesn't mean na hindi niya kaya yung intensity ng kanta kaya di fit sa boses niya. SHE HAS HER OWN STYLE! HER OWN UNIQUE STYLE! That's what she wants to be remembered, not someone just copying what other singers did in the past. Kaya sobrang excited talaga ko everytime na may kakantahin siya, bakit? BECAUSE SHE'S ALWAYS FULL OF SURPRISES AT SIGURADONG SARILING VERSION NIYA ANG MARIRINIG MO. Twists and turns, runs, growls, belting, whistle and such. THAT JUST PROVES HOW SHE IS DEDICATED TO BETTER HER CRAFT, MAKE THE SONG APPROPRIATE FOR HER. AND THAT IS, MORISETTE. The one and only.

It’s inevitable that this version will be compared to various artists’... why? Coz Mori is such a threat to many. Many will try to magnify what’s lacking instead of focusing on the musical abundance of this version. With all the growls (needed for this song), the vocal depth and agility, the effortless high notes, the INTERPRETATION (not just to impress, but to interpret), THIS VERSION IS THE BEST SO FAR by any Filipino artist! Ms Holiday of course is ubtouchable. Yun ang mamaw at bakulaw (pun intended)... Whether meron mistakes or wala, thats beside the point. Kayo na ang magnitpick. The audience who watched didnt seem to mind. I dont mind it. Everybody had a great time and was swept away by the performance of this great artist. Charice is great. Katrina is great. Regine is great. There are a lot of great singers. But not everybody can capture the hearts and minds of an audience like Mori can.

first, this is PERFECT, no matter what you say. second, she sang this last song as if it was the first song in her line up. superb! Third, no matter how great Charice is (I used Charice coz I think most people would have her rendition as deemed the "best"), she didn't get the STANDING OVATION that she deserved from the Filipino audience. Did you see how the audience got excited after her last song? That is CHARISMA like no other. At the end of the day, it's not just talent that appeals to the audience but the overall impact of the performer. Fourth, just look at Morissette and how she sang this song. She was enjoying every moment of SLAYING this song.. with all the growls, one-breathing phrases, high notes, vocal runs and interpretation in this song, I AM CONFIDENT that no other singer could sing. this song the way Mori did.. Is this the best version I have heard of this song? YES. My opinion. :) I really loved it. RIP replay button.

shapeshifter008 LOL. Charice has several standing ovations from her Filipino audience. Infact in several different occasions including the most recent one in 2017 where “he as jake zyrus” performed with Ylone during his guesting. And even during david fosters and friends concerts in 2015. You can google charice standing ovations and you‘ll see she had more than 3-4 times of S.O. in the Philippines alone during 2008,2009,2010, and 2011. While getting S.O. during her performances overseas is a standard for charice (idk if Morissette had ever had standing ovations overseas).

She even threw her mic mid-air, stomping her legs, and over 20+ songs consisting many of the hardest songs by whitney, celine, beyonce, etc. Charice did all whatever Morissette is doing now, shes only following charice’s footsteps. And Charice had much more success and recognition than Morissette has received so far, so no comparison really. Mori still has a lot to achieve to be in the same level as charice. And charice was only 18 when she became international singing sensation. Mori now is 22, and she doesn’t have any international success yet.
