Love watching your tutorials, only recently got the Pa5x and impressed with its versatility. Your style is very understandable. I would really like you to do a tutorial on how to create new sounds from scratch with samples, as you mentioned doing to bring God’s Bathtub into your Pa5x.

Great video thank you! Be great if you could do a vid on how to use the PA5X synth section to create new sounds. I'm trying to replicate the Cars - Just What I Needed synth sound but it's not easy and the manual doesn't really explain what each edit menu item does. Thanks!

Been waiting for 5 months for my 5x-88 ... it will FINALLY arrive in 2 days' time!! ... catching up on various tutorial videos ... it's going to be a steep learning curve going from a Kawai ES8 to a PA5X-88

would definitely love a tutorial on programming own sounds from scratch ... want to do some ambience stuff, but I also do looping with the Kawai ES8 currently, so want to come up with nice sounds for loops also.

Do you have a video dealing with sampling and loading your samples to create new sounds? I'm a bit confused on that. Is a single sample transposed across the keyboard or can you do multiple note examples of the same sample? Thanks for all your videos.

no, you can add arp patterns to the pads, so although these are not real arpeggiators, the arp patterns can be added to the style, and that's enough for most songs

I play the chords in full keyboard scan mode, so the chords are created with the notes I play with my left and right hand together, check my keyboard recognition tutorial on my channel for multiple chord methods to use on a keyboard

I still can't get the new edited version of a sound that I saved, the edited version, into a keyboard set. I'm talking about new pitch, and mod that I hear when I listen in sound mode, but NOT there when brought into the set?! Please know I'm not talking about these little immediate knobs that adjust the filter and lfo, but deeper edits that are done in the sound edit menu section.

@@quirobinez Absolutely I know this because when I go to the sound itself the edits are there, and when I go to the sound within the set the edits aren't there?!?! I love this keyboard, but it really gets me crazy at times.

@@quirobinez Hello, I'm about to take a hammer AND SMASH THIS KEYBOARD AND THROW IT AWAY!!! No matter what I try to understand, whether it's sets to styles or styles to sets or how the sets come up when choosing a styles or having to copy something to a user so I can then edit it and it then it says to me a different thing then I think it's suppose to say to me.........I'M LOOSING MY F^_%$ING MIND!!! I read the manual and it's ok but that's about it. I watch the video manual and they SUCK. I'm really about to return it, and never look BACK!!!!!!!! Maybe you can tell me something that might save this keyboard for me or maybe I should just play to mp3's. Thanks.

@Qui Robinez - keen to understand your thoughts on the PA5x vs Genos or even the Genos 2 (from the videos available)... judging by the fact you own a Genos and mostly you are now posting videos only about Pa5x - is it right to assume you prefer the Pa5x overall?

yes, the pa5x is my preference, the genos is a nice keyboard, but for me it's a to closed system and to much focused on the song covers

Thank you very much for your demos and tutorials!! I just bought a new PA5x after watching your videos. I'm a bit bored of my current Tyros 4 and was in doubt about change it by a synthetizer. It s very nice to a keyboard that I can still play with styles but also have the synth potential so I chose the PA5x. I've owned a PA600 some years ago so I understand the difference between the brands. Although the Yamaha seems to soud better right out of the box, the potential of customization of the Korg is much deeper. By the way I found your channel through your Wavestate videos. I have the Native version and I love it! Thinking about buying the hardware version.

sorry another question.... Why don't korg pa5x audio outputs 1,2.3,4 work? I use left/right outputs for amplified speakers and through outputs 1,2,3,4, I would like to send the sound simultaneously to an external mixer but I can't get them to work simultaneously. Thank you for your reply

sure, you will only hear the tap function when your style isn't running, it uses the metronome output for that. So press the settings button, click the audio/video tab on the screen, click the drums/metro tab on the right side of your screen, check the section at the bottom where it says metronome output, set that one to Left + right. Now when you press the tap button you will hear the audio click of the tap tempo
