Glad I came across your video. I currently am putting together a similar setup using a multiple sections of fibreglass mast, top with a mobile whip. I had planned to use a remote tuner at the base but think I will get a 9:1 balun to try as well.

You can easily adjust the height of the antenna-slinky to achieve good SWR (for 14-17-21-28 bands) without using tuners/baluns and without power loss. Iron wire already incurs losses.

@@COASTALWAVESWIRES thank you. It does not look those they are available on eBay anymore. Just to confirm. Your pole is fiberglass and not carbon fiber, correct? The reason I ask is because carbon fiber is conductive but fiberglass is not.
