I have an 8004 and sound s amazing , i ve been hear a lot of subs like yamaha , jbl , fbt , dynacord , and a lot of 18 ‘s but no one give me that feeling like an 8004

@@turkuazzz1377 yeah the 8004 is very good. Better than many subwoofers on the market but another good one is the FBT Horizon VHA 118SA is a bit better than the 8004 in my opinion but it's way more expensive...

You should try the lacoustics sb18, more expensive but sounds so good and gets very loud.

Nice video man I went through the same thing with the 8004 but ended up with the bassboss ssp118 that sub murders the 8004 no competition. When I demo the qsc it was hitting hard but no lows what's so ever the rcf is definitely a step up from the qsc in terms of sound quality. I can say the ssp118 is louder than the new double 18 rcf 8008. It all depends on the genre.

@@DJRIKSTA many thanks for the kind comments. Yeah that's the biggest issue the KS118 has. Although it hits hard it's just not that deep. Additionally, I think the small size of the KS118 may also contribute to the problem. To be honest with you I didn't like the RCF 8008 cause I felt it didn't hit hard enough and limited to quickly

RCF smokes JBL and QSC. RCF also has some of the most amazing tech and amps. I only use RCF tops but will use QSCKS118 subs or RCF SUB 18-AX

@@edgarjaramillo2437 In my opinion the RCF 8004 is a better option. Even though the specs of the 18s says it goes deeper the 8004 is significantly louder. In buying a subwoofer you need to look at (1) how loud it gets (2) how low it goes (3) how quick it limits. The 18s on paper says it goes lower but the 8004 is significantly louder and doesn't limit so quickly. Also depending on the type of music you play, you may not really need some of those low notes

If you are right, I work with Latin music, I am currently working with Ev ekx series and I want to make the jump to Rcf art 945 and Rcf 8004, so the Qcs do not reach the Rcf in terms of quality and power?

@@edgarjaramillo2437 To be honest with you No the QSC does not have the power and clarity of the RCF. The RCF is significantly louder and goes deeper than the QSC but remember the RCF is also more expensive than the QSC. Also the Art 945 is a very good speaker. The Art 945 is probably the loudest two way speaker in the market. So you will like it. I have a video where I used both the RCF Art 945 and the RCF 8004 subwoofer. Check it out

To be honest, 945 is loud enough that you have two 8004 each side and 945 still will not limit! I use 945 with Yorkville es18p and still 945 is overpowering the ES18p! One would need ES21p to match the level of 945!! I also have art 932 with 3 inch VC which goes really well with ES18p- nice sound! I am sure 932 would go great with 8004! 945 will hurt your ears and only for big applications like 500 people! Trust me!😊

Cheers for this very informative video! I like the RCF 8004 but they are a little above my price range. The Yamaha DXS18XLF seems to get very positive reviews, and although specs can't be relied upon entirely, the specs of the DXS18XLF are very similar to the specs of the 8004, plus Yamaha also offer a 7 year warranty. Just wondering if you have any opinions on the DXS18XLF?

@@pooleywooley thank you for the kind words. I have listened to the Yamaha DXS18XLF extensively before and to be honest with you it is nowhere near the RCF 8004. The 8004 is both louder and deeper than the Yamaha DXS18XLF. In fact the QSC KS118 beats the Yamaha DXS18XLF although not by much. The problem I have with Yamaha especially the DXSXLF and DZR line is that Yamaha grossly exaggerates the specs and when I heard the DXS18XLF I was slightly let down cause I expected more since Yamaha is such a reputable audio brand.

@@ricardovaltierra9811 Funny or not I initially had 4 KS118. The thing you have to know is what type of events you do. I never really used my 4 KS118 all at once. So to answer your question if you would never use all 4 KS118 at once then get the 9004 but if you would use all 4 KS118 at once regularly then get 4 KS118

8004s played loud, but not as tight, with good linear controlled bass as the QSCs. QSCs sound quality was much cleaner and again tighter bass by my ears judgment.

I never did like the QSC speakers. If I had to use them, it was only for floor monitors. For mains- I prefer EV (only ETX) and RCF over JBL, Yamaha, FB Tech, even Bose, and other mid tier speakers.

@@watchman316ly I think QSC are good for what they can deliver the thing vis-a-vis their price point. The thing is most people now want much better sounding systems and that may be where the issue lies. I think FBT is also very good.

Great review. Love the RCF…I have the HDM45-A and the ART945 but 8004 was $1500 more….so went with QSC KS118. How do you like the pairing of RCF tops with KS118?

@@rtchannel1917 Many thanks for the kind words. I tried pairing the Art 945 with the KS118 but you could barely feel any bass coming from the KS118 when the Art 945 was blaring that's what made me go with the 8004. But no debate the Art 945 still outruns the 8004 its just not as bad as the KS118

@@roymoxley2587 To be honest the Yorkville es18p is pretty much louder than almost every single 18" prosumer subwoofer out there. However, the KW118 is a good work horse subwoofer. But this is the KS118 and it's pretty good and loud but just not very deep. In my opinion I think QSC needs to make a KS118 XL that can go really deep and should be bigger in size.

I own the 118s and I do love them but you better monitor your gains cause you can and will blow them subs! And last them 181s are some work horses and punch hard and take a beating cause DJs I know play them REAL HARD and they keep playing hard. Good review and awesome job on the paint!😎

@@jerometene The QSC is a very good subwoofer. However, in person the 8004 has a deeper and fuller bass and it's louder than the QSC but both are very good it's just that the RCF is better than the QSC
