I play in a Classic Rock Blues band and we have 2-KW181 cabs and 2-KW153 front of house mains....3 K12 monitors and a KW153 for a drum monitor and I have not yet played any place yet that this system could not handle including outdoor events in which we added another pair of KW181s...haters gonna hate and some rag on QSC but I can tell you this, pair it all up with a Behringer X32 console and use excellent quality mics that are designed for their application ie; kick drum, overhead drums...etc etc.... and you will have everything you need to rock an event....I know we do and are very happy with our PA setup...... Hey Tony....we have since added a total of 8 kw 181s and 4 KW153s for front of house and a KW181 and a KW153 for a drum monitor and 4 k12s for vocal monitors............ love that system plugged up to an X32 console

I love my KW Series system! I'm rockin' with two kw181s, but usually only need one. I also have two pairs of KW152s and I can honestly say that it is the absolute best purchase that I have made in the last 3 years for my company. I too went from the heavy HPR system and it was such a relief! The HPRs sounded so perfect, but it wasn't worth the extra damage to my skeletal region. Have fun with them, and don't be afraid to lean on them.

watch out for phase cancellation when placing 4 side by side. your best bet is to move the outer two speakers back one foot for a more consistant coverage pattern

do speakers this size do ok on a sub pole mount like this? I've heard its heavier than manufacturer recommendations. Also - do you think 1 153 per 181 is too much or is it a good match? I've also heard the 153 needs 2 181s to match...

really awesome speakers. since you own them do you think 4 KW153's and 4 KW181's is enough for around 500 people? with the sound still being loud?

Got four 153 in pawn..they were so heavy and I need the quick cash..must get them out, they only need one kw181 when doing inside venues ..they are a beast to tote around, yet they stand alone in shear volume of sound power

They would get by, but you would be pushing them hard. I use these for dance-level crowds of around 300. Depends on the room and the type of music. I'm planning on expanding to double my current setup (8 subs, 4 153s), that would be more than adequate for 600+

I realize most of you guys are not business owners you are just audio enthusiasts...I’ve done a thousand people with 1 qsc181 ...2 qsc 152s and 2 qsc k12.2s ...listen guys ...most clients are not looking for club bass these idiots talking about a system like this is for 500 people that’s completely bullshit unless you are outside or dealing with silly high school kids that are bass starved fools but high end customers don’t want their assholes banged out by bass they want a well rounded presence of music with enough volume to be heard not felt so they can socialize and even dance to if they desire .. grow up boys this ain’t the 80s and 90s era of car stereo.

Did anybody trying this speaker with a driverack pa. (I know you don't need one ) it worth trying it. I've tried mine first time i heard i was blown away specially the sub. over all it was more CLEAR AND LOOOOUD. Since then i stacked with it.

Need help deciding on a setup either going with 2 kw153 and a kw181 or 1 kw153 and 2 k10s and a kw181 would either or setup be able to handle wedding gigs or outdoor gigs im a dj mostly block parties and stuff like that nothing more than 300 people

I realize your post is 7 months old but I have 2 kw152s , Today i received my long awaited kw181 ,I thought that the kw181 would blow me away with the 152s ,not quite the situation the kw152s and kw153 are so nice /full/ loud . I feel like i have wastes 14 hundred dollars there is no big improvement at all I think that is why you see most dj or live sound people with 4 kw181s just my 2 cents hope this helps . they dont have that kick ass bass with just 1 , i should have trusted my gut and tried the yorkville ls801 or their ls2100 . i feel the 181 needs 500 more watts and a bigger cabinet

I've tried JBL, QSC and Yamaha, although it's all matter of taste, I prefer Yamaha over qsc in terms of sound color , clarity and laudness, but qsc over yamaha If you are not using subs, JBL sounds good at low volumes but they have the tendency to add distortion when loud creating ear fatigue to me. The Yamaha I compared is the DSR 115 and compared it with the ones you listed above, but in any case get a sub from qsc or jbl

u compared jbl 800 series.. I bearly buyed before 700 series dual 18;s and tops 725's and 4 crowns bridge for each speaker and they are not loud... crown 4000... damn :D joking %^_^ nah its true but qsc is best ting to go for for small things they are realy compact speakers wery light I don't own them my friend does and I thinked to sell my jbl system of 4 728\s and 4 725's know iwill lost power with qsc cant match those things even single 718 sub but its smaller and wery great sound and active, I'm tired of amps even that I'm 5 years in this music craps gigs and stuffs... u wont get wrong with eather ^_^ but that jbl is better than myne... and jbl has best sound :D nature... :D or get money get a 2 725's minimum 1 crown 4000 xti at bridge for that 2 boxes and 2 718\s and u are on place and later get 2 more subs couse that 1 box covers 1 728 wich is dual 18 sub :D and for that subs also get same amp ^_^ for single 18 ;) for dual xti 6000 bridne ;) couse they need that power to show their max in sound and bass sound... :D its ton of money but still now worth that jbl stuf ^_^ and my 1 728 banged 2 qsc k181 but hey that's dual box it has higher spl ^_^ and need 2 more power from 2 qscs but its not portable speaker its to place on 1 direction and don't move for 100 yrs and it is outdoor speaker :D ur couice ^_^ qsc smaller gigs wery light and that jbl both :D

How do you compare the Qsc kw152. To the JBL SRX815P? .? I ask cause I bought the kw152 and when I tested it without subs it didn’t give me the output I thought it would. But right now it’s hard to find anything. Everything is in back order
