QSO w Midland 77-882 converted to 10 meters 29mhz ham radio

Brief qso talking on a Converted midland 77-882 Am CB cybernet 02a pll radio converted to am 10 meter. Im in Medford, OR the other station is in Andover, KS
I broadbanded the the vco and mixer circuits and the goal is to cover 12 and 10 meters but primarily the 29.000- 29.100mhz AM portion of 10 meters. Now i just have to come up with a way to be able to adjust the frequency more. heres a link on how to do this to any 02a pll radio for those interested! almost no parts required just a few changes to the pll wiring!

So I found one of these cleaning out a storage unit and got it, what do I need to power it up, I have never had a radio like these and pretty much don't know shit about them, what chord or other stuff specifically do I need to power it up

So looking for a way to do a conversion of an old Midland or Cobra 23 channel radio to do 23 below the standard channels. Our local channel is 26.905 with a backup of 26.915. We just get so much noise and skip on the standard 40 channels it's hard to hear mobiles without a foot warmer. But drop just a few Khz and it's wide open unless the Superbowl bleeds us bad. Any ideas if this is possible? I have a Cobra 29 with a channel kit that's 40 above and 40 below but want a radio in all my cars and tractor. Would like to recycle these old 23 channels and make them talk again in a second life.

They use a xtal mixing scheme. It's do able I guess if you have lots of odd frequency xtals

Theres a new deal called a dds vfo. It can become the oscillator for any radio giving it almost unlimited coverage within the limits of what the tx rx can support. Cbradiomagazine.com did a review on this device. It's the biggest thing in years!
