(I made some tweaks to this video after some of you chimed in with some great explanations, thank you so much for enlightening me!!!)
I use these Houdini shortcuts all the time, so I thought I'd share them with you.
This is far from a complete list, but hopefully there are some interesting ones that you might not already know about.
Of course I'm interested in your favorite shortcuts as well, so if you'd like to contribute some shortcuts that you use all the time, please do so in the comments.
Here are a couple of web sites that list a whole bunch of Houdini shortcuts if you want to expand your shortcut ninja skills:

Having the selection lock off by default is great when modeling. Also page up and page down will navigate is the up and down the node tree

regarding you shaking at 4:53, in the Preferences you have shake distance, dropping that down to 0.1 solves the issue you are having.

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately I don't use Mantra because as a render engine I find it too slow for my personal needs. I recently started using 3Delight which is considerably faster. I find it to be very well integrated into Houdini while also offering a free-tier that makes it very accessible even for those just starting out. Before then I was using Redshift which I like a lot for some things, and which also has a good Houdini integration. In the meantime, Arise Works has a great series on Mantra that I recommend and which might answer some of your questions -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqLRla2Aoc-HnLM

If the network is massive, simply hitting L key with completely rearange the layout, which is not what I want. How can I rearange just a selected part of the network while the other stay with the same layout?
@johnbinary5989

Never mind. I found the solution. Hold down A key and LMB drag. vimeo.com/204577847 www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/network/layout.html
