Thank you! I left my revision a bit late for this test (yesterday, test was today) but thanks to your videos, I went in and amazingly passed first time! considering, before I watched your videos, I couldn't answer a single one in the mental section, I think I only missed 3 in the actual and was just cause I ran out of time, had the answer ready to type. This video was really HELPFUL but then I started to question myself: If I was ready or not; I even thought about resiting and not bother to attend the test. But, I went and passed the first try ..... I already passed the literacy test .....Good luck everyone

I never comment on KZbin but I had to Thank you for all of your videos. They really helped me pass the numeracy skills test (second attempt) . If i can do it you can. I would defo recommend people who are doing to numeracy skills test to watch all of his videos! THANKS AGAIN:)

My first attempt at a numeracy practice test completely stumped me! I had no idea how I would pass the mental arithmetic section as I could not answer the questions in time. My friend sent me one of your videos and honestly, they are so helpful and contain so many tips and shortcuts. Im so glad I passed my numeracy test first time! also I thought I did worse during the actual test, and in the practice I was getting around 70-90% sooooo don't be disheartened I don't think the threshold is too high.

Hi, I took my maths QTS two weeks ago and failed by three marks :(. I have become even more apprehensive about these tests, especially knowing the three time result rule, and feel really knocked back. I often get close to the answer, but slip up due to 'careless mistakes.' I found the graphs a lot harder than just the regular bar charts, pie charts and box and whisker plots. I was presented with a lot of standardised tables and graphs. I would be incredibly grateful for any advice. Thank you.

Hi Kayley, don't give up you were quite close to passing. As you say focus on eliminating careless mistakes. For graph questions examine the graph title and axis labels. Make sure you understand what information is being given to you before tackling the question. For mental maths try to learn the short cut methods as shown in my videos. This will help you deal with the exam nerves as you will have the method memorised and can hopefully answer on an almost auto-pilot. Hi GA Numerical, ive been to your website and it gives me the option to purchase 5 on line tests, I was just wondering if these 5 tests are different (but follow a similar format?) to the online practise tests from the government?

Hi Jo, yes all the tests on my e-learning site offer different but similar questions to the DfE tests. The QTS Essentials site offers full mock exams and the other option offers mental arithmetic only tests.

I have been practising for these questions and I lierally can't do the mental arithmetic in time, I just dont even know where to start. I just seems so impossible for me to do this in 18 seconds. Is the key to this being super fast with your times tables?

Hi, I have sinse taken the test and I passed it first time. I found that doing the practise questions over and over was the only thing that made it better, just loads of practise!
