at 17:27 you forget that the 100 mile is yearly and course B start in a new year so the 100 mile limit resets. However the write answer would be: 11.50 + 4.7 + ((54 * 32.5) + (100*32.5) + (32*32.5))/100 = 76.65 Thenks

This is excellent, thanks. Please note though, that on the 7th question (about the portfolios), we are asked to round UP to the nearest 5, not to ‘round’. The answer, which I have seen on the results page, is 13, rather than 11.

What % do you need to pass the test
@samsamtala65715 жыл бұрын
someone tell me if i got it correct: 1. 35mins? (1hr20min - 3hr15min) 2. 27 marks needed 3. 3/4=75% 4.72km 5.12.30 pm? 6.8.35am 7.1.35pm 8.£375 9. 2.25 10. 7/10= 70% ( added the scores and total up?) 11.£7.80 12. £20.80
With question six, surely the answer would be 9.6 (29 divided by 3)? You did the division as '3 divided by 29'. Wouldn't you get a proportion of 3 if you did it that way?

bit confused by the science teacher question. since they are doing the experiment twice wont they each need 20cm3 of acid rather than 10. so you would be multiplying 84 by 20 not 10 right?

Yes, many questions in the real tests are based on these. Some newer types have come up too but a good practice nonetheless

Omg, how do these test can actually be beneficial to the pure maths? It 's just some conversions and tricks. No geometric question or equations. It feels like an English listening test in IELTS. Come on, who designed these questions?

I passed on my 2nd go! It was literally down to your videos so thank you. Guys you’d be surprised how much of these videos sink into your memory, stay there & come to the forefront during the test. Keep at it. I literally watched these videos to revise. Worked out the question and then watched you work it out. I know these are hard but guys keep at it - you will pass!

I'm confused. The one about the newly qualified teacher - they get paid 32.5 pence per 100 miles per school year. But you're adding them up over three years. Surely it resets after each year?

I'm doing these stupid tests this year. I'm not even going to teach maths. And next year they're scrapping these tests anyway. Completely pointless and ridiculous.

Umar mines tomorrow, I am so so scareddddd!! How was yours? Did you find it similar to the government practice ones? & did you find them harder or easier compared to the gov ones? Also, welldone on passing!
@hppsgm5 жыл бұрын
@@damiah4802 Thank you! I know it's easy to be scared at this moment, but trust me, when you're sitting in front of the computer screen, in the flow doing the real thing, you don't feel half as bad (just take each question one by one). To be honest, the government practice ones and the real ones, I felt were similar. However, the real ones might try to throw you off a little. For example, I remember that in all the practice ones, they will only tell you to round your answer to 1 decimal place. However, I recall a question I did today that told me to round to 2 decimal places (Specifically 1/3rd = 0.33). Also, keep in mind that the Government practice questiones are outdated, meaning, they don't include area and algebra. However, these two topics are straightforward, and I did not get any of these questiones in my actual one today (though I did in my first attempt!). Good Luck, I hope you smash them! If you need any more advice, feel free to ask!

Umar I’m passing on the government ones, so as long as they are a little similar, hopefully I’ll be okay! Thanks a lot for your reply :)!

Thanks for this. I really struggled with the test first time round, not because I didn't know how to do it, but because the countdown made me panic and get stuff muddled. Honestly I think half the battle is trying not to waste any time looking at the clock and screaming internally. This was helpful.

Thank you sooo much for your videos!! I PASSED ON MY FIRST ATTEMPT! I honestly am so grateful I came across your videos, they really helped me understand the skills test so much better. I only revised the day before and in the morning before my maths skills test and I passed. Just go through all the videos and practise the questions until you understand the techniques. I was so clueless when I first saw the test and thought it would take me forever to learn it.. but your videos are the best by far! Thank you! :)

I passed today, I think barely. I really sweated it. I think I passed largely due to youtube videos and also the mock tests on the government site. sta.education.gov.uk/ One thing to be aware of, you should practice listening for the mental arithemetic section. I thought they put the whole text of the question up on the screen, they don't and there was at least one question where the answer hung off a particular word. Basically practice listening!
