I got one for my son. He did really well with it and no previous experience. I wasn’t expecting much but when I flew it, I found it to be quite pleasant. I made a ‘short’ video of my son flying it. Great for a small field. Even a half football field is perfect.

It needs to be a bit tail heavy to allow the throttle to regulate pitch since it's only 2 channels.

Oh I didn't know that bit about the water droplets.. 22:04 I have the same issue with the DeeRC Galexy Ship after flipping it. I thought it was water in the hatch or the motors getting wet that affected the performance.

I have both red and the blue one. Things to know: Flying it (in full throttle) is fast. it'll be at hundreds of feet in nearly an instant. Some beginners may lose it so keep it close by when flying it while learning to fly it in greater attitudes and distance. Barnyard sparrows will chase it so be aware. Batteries tend to overheat a bit so a full flight is really not advisable so it won't shorten the recharging life of the pack.

I like the backwards thrust option! I mean, normally there's no way to tell this type of plane to "go down", if wind picks it up and starts taking it away. I don't know what to call this type of plane or kit. 2 motor 2 channel? What I really want is to experiment with a hybrid RC kite ... like a kite with two motors for steering and for thrust if there's no wind (so it's like control line flying around on a hemisphere). If there's wind, it could fly for a really long time. It would be a stepping stone to a kite powered sailboat. A problem with RC sailboats is that there's so short that they can't get good wind. But with a kite, even a small RC boat can reach better winds.

This is called a "two channel differential thrust" RC airplane. Two channel refers to the number of channels provided to control the aircraft, in this case throttle and steering. Steering is achieved through differential thrust, varying the thrust on the motors to steer the airplane. And throttle controls the altitude of the aircraft (increase to go up, decrease to come down).

Actually, I was thinking that a gentle bending of the back end of the horizontal stabilizer might get it in the air quicker. Or if there was wind, take off into it.

Good afternoon really enjoyed this video about this little seaplane that goes in reverse first little plane I've seen that has reverse built in at this price level that's great if you're flying on a gymnasium because you can back away from the wall. I would also like to say something today about quadcopter 101. They're both good fliers. But the larger/heavier ZY525 has a much harder time taking off from water. Its motors just don't have enough power to lift it up in a reasonable time.
