we somehow gotta get y'all to react to the whole scrapyard project

Quad actually posted a video talking about the dogs and how they were not planned to be there at all they just showed up while filming and it ended up making those scenes that much more special.

I think one of the best details about this project is the true meaning behind fantasyworld. Quad mentions that fantasyworld is technically the first song chronologically in the album and calls it a flashback, which is why its the most clear song out of the whole project because he is not a ghost in this song. So, this song is before his death and maybe the very moment before his death. Also, since its a flashback, he is accepting what has happened to him and his life which leads to fractions of infinity and the outro where he fully ascends.

I believe that quad said that this album is the resolution to the “story” throughout “voice memos” “from me to you” and “i didnt mean to haunt you” ofc, because the main reason quad made i didnt mean to haunt you was because he was in a dark place in life and created this story as a kind of anti suicide message to himself, so it continues after some of the problems he had in “from me to you” and im presuming those problems are what caused him to take his own life, so really the trilogy is a mix between his actual life a thoughts and this made up story, anyway next era is starting with “vanisher: horizen scraper” coming soon, cant wait to see this project hes been working on the past two years or more

This album has a pretty specific story that can be understood from the lyrics. I recommend checking them out! His vocals are mixed in a way that basically necessitates reading Genius if you want to understand everything

i didn’t mean to haunt by Quadeca is about a ghost going through emotions of depression, regret and loneliness while looking over and “haunting” people close to him before his death, and him killing his mother to be with him in the afterlife, and finally going into the light

the dog represent the whole dogs can see ghost phenomenon, and why in the song he says,”tried call but the dog runs away from now”

its less about killing his mother and more about making her and his other family members hallucinate bc people who actually suffered from co2 poisoning reported seeing spirits, he then almost kills his mother by accident which is why he's full of regret and guilt in knots

It was really cool seeing your interpretations on this because you were picking up on the symbolism just about every single time. For example in fantasyworld you guys understood he is “coming to terms” with something. If you’re curious, the thing he came to terms with was taking his own life. Think of it as a flashback to before he became a ghost. The whole concept of the album is a ghost coming to terms with his decision to end his life as he witnesses how his loved ones are doing without him around anymore. For me, listening again with the added context of the concept took this album to another level.

Loved this! Glad you guys did too. Scrapyard, which is what Way Too Many Friends came from, is his latest mixtape that takes ideas that were cut from this album or his upcoming project and reworked into a mixtape, and it's amazing! If you guys are looking for something a little more "mainstream" or "rap oriented," definitely check out his album before this From Me To You which also has a Full Album Movie! I'm willing to bet we'd love to watch either one. Thanks for making this!

Thanks for the reaction, it was a great watch! I think what really makes this album better is he did all the music production himself and edited the movie. On the story line you guys were SUPER close. The TL;DR is that the album is from the perspective a ghost, specifically Quadeca as the ghost. He's looking back at his life and memories, seeing his family grieve and move on without him. Some of the lyrics are super dark if you read through them, especially House Settling. You guys perfectly nailed Knots, Quadeca mentioned it was meant to sound like a panic attack and you guys called that out perfectly. Anyway, love this album and loved the reaction! He did another album movie for his "From me to you" album, another great album if you guys want another!

Never agreed with the idea to have your first reaction be a video, and feel like you have to love everything and know everything, because you wont. This is one of those albums that takes 2 or 3 listens for it to fully click, im a huge fan and really didnt like it first time round and now its one of my favorite albums of all time. Still not over Fantano giving it a 7 but he made up for it giving scrapyard a 9 lol. That Sunday Service Choir feature is still beautiful, stay making high quality content
