Quadmula Siren F5 Spilt Freestyle: Unboxing and FULL Build! // MurdersFPV

Since the first time I saw this design I was incredibly intrigued and wanted to try this frame out myself. I was fortunate enough to have Quadmula send me their Siren F5 Split Freestyle to try and I am very impressed. They managed to achieve several unique design innovations while keeping the weight down. This quad flies amazing and this very well could be my new daily driver.

As soon as I saw the design I was like "oh, damn." It flies sofa king good. Time will tell how durable it is. I plan on taking it to Washington, California, and Spain over the next month and I'll for sure beat it up.

Awesome and no problem! Heat it well. Apply a light pressure and gently roll the soldering tip downward. Usually does the job.

just found out that if you dont choose the 3d printed parts... they also leave out the inserts to secure the 3d printed parts to your motors.... The reason I left them out was that I wanted to print them in my own collors.. and its not really an easy to get insert.

Yeah, ordering the 3d parts is basically to get the PS-3 spacers. You can order the spacers separately

Amazing video! Used it as a guide to complete my Quadmula build. I was wondering what size screws are used to secure the vista unit to the frame? I did not find a long enough screw to hold it, ended up with double-sided tape, but I fear it may get loose on a crash... Thank you!

They are M2 screws that are long enough to go all the way through. Double sided sticky tape and zip ties work just as well.

It's hard to say for now. It will come down to durability. This flies better and has better overall benefits. I love double caps. The video is cleaner and it honestly feels like it smooths out the power band. It was the same feeling as the Vega Sbando. I'm going to beat the crap out of this quad for a month and really test its durability. If it can hang with my flying then I'd choose this over the Apex hands down.

I think it was the clear insulation tubing that is on the m2 stack bolt he cut it to size after getting the height he wanted.

why are you using 12 AWG wires for the doublecap? Is there a specific reason? But sick Build man! Looks beautifull

It was 14 AWG You want the cap/s to be as close to the input of the ESC as possible. I wanted to test if you do have to use wires to extend the distance from the solder point then does larger gauge wire help reduce noise. It made little to no difference between 14 and 20 AWG but both were noticeably better than 22 or 24 AWG so I ended up sticking with 20. The method of installation is the same as in the video. I used BB logs for testing purposes. I was specifically looking for noise coming into the gyro while idle and while full throttle.

I also have the T-motor F7 stack HD but I want to mount an O3 air unit to it. Can I just re-pin the original connector? if so, how would the wiring go.. any tips on this? I think it isn't in the same order as the vista, correct me if I'm wrong.

So the T-Motor F7 HD FC uses a weird JST connector that has different size pins then the harness that comes with the O3. One way you can do it is to take both harnesses (one from the FC and the other from the O3) and cut and splice them together. In the correct order of course. Use wiring diagrams that you can find online as well as in the instruction manual that comes with the O3.

@MurdersFPV I will try to cut and splice them together then. This is my first build so I'm a bit careful. The order on my Tmotor FC from top to bottom says: 10V, gnd, tx2, rx2, gnd, sbus. And on the O3 the order is: power, gnd, rx, tx, signal gnd, sbus. So the order for connection should be straight right and just leave the last two (signal gnd, sbus) disconnected as I'm using crossfire. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The OG Vista antenna used to be a RushFPV Cherry LHCP antenna but it was grey. The red one is the same exact thing, just in red.

Hi Mate. I decided to build almost the same quad but I am wondering about KV for motors in this frame. At the moment I have Mark 5 with 1960KV and I was thinking about that pacers but 1750KV for Quadmula as I have never flown low KV motors. Is there any reason to not choose 1750KV for this frame? I do not fly with any GoPro, so my quad will be quite light. I do not know if there will be any benefit with low KV like longer flight time etc. Or there is no sense to go with low KV in light quad?

So lower KV usually pairs well with lower pitch props in my experience. I run the Slatt 1700kv motors with the Ethix PB&J props. The benefit is longer flight time and increased throttle resolution. It's a great combination for proxy flying. Higher KV and higher pitch props are better for fast responsive movements and huge throttle blasting. I bought a frame with your link a few weeks ago, it's the business! Nicely made. I am waiting for O3 air unit to arrive, and want to install everything else while waiting, is it vital to run the camera cable below the stack ?

@@BillyBoyGSXR I would highly recommend it. You don't want cables running through the middle of the stack or over for that matter. Anything that can vibrate against the FC are things you really want to minimize.

Awesome build dude! But just a nice little FPV arrive from pilot to pilot... You see your 2 big azz capacitors are soldered to bottom of main pads on your ESC board, right? So do you see the umm I forgot what it called, but you see silver circle nuts, ohhh the lock nuts is very very close to capacitors that's soldered under bottom of ESC board, maybe you can use electric tape to tape up cover the main pads bottom of your ESC board to give it some more protection, or double side sticker, but obviously don't open both double side sticker, just one side and other side leave the cover on don't side sticker to give it some more protection.... Cuz it did happened to me before when I had bad crash, the capacitor on my under bottom ESC board was tooooo close to each other and it caused mine in ✨✨ sparklers and little fire, but very lucky it was close by to me and I ran so fast to unplugged my lipo, but obviously my ESC board is no good, as well as my capacitors are blew up. So just don't wanted it to happened to you. Just a little advice from pilot to other😊

Isnt Tracer a diversity receiver seems only 1 antenna hooked up.

It is and there are two antenna on this build. One at the back under the VTX antenna and the other that I have attached to the standoff to the left/bottom corner of the FC if you were looking at it from a top down view with the camera pointing up.
