Your videos have to be shown to people not to help them with math but to help them how to teach because most people don't know how to teach these days.

Yes. Teachers tend to teach with an attitude of: "I'm explaining this well enough and if you can't understand it you MUST be stupid."

Thanks for pointing out minus vs negatives. I hear a lot of people, even professor who say a number such as, -2, as "minus two" when it really should be "negative two".
@AugustinSteven
@AugustinSteven 6 жыл бұрын
We don't say negative for the sign of a number, we say minus for the sign. In the UK they are equivalent. Negative is the American usage.

I am fascinated by your teaching sir . But we can apply Quadratic formula to an expression . Let say if we find x =a as a root of an quadratic expression then we have (x-a) as a factor of that expression. Similarly we have (x-b) as another factor ..So this also leads to factorization.

Once I'd learned how to derive the formula by completing the square, I found the formula easier than factoring (or factorising, as you call it). By the way, is _factoring_ vs. _factorising_ a US/Australia thing? Or have other Americans also been taught to factorize? What about in the UK?

really? I always thought minus is the verb of taking away and negative is an adjective for describing the characteristic of a number.
