that was a very good demo..there is no wrong way ....just an easier way.....I had read somewhere that by crossing the legs, helps prevent leg spasms from hitting the gas/brake pedels...good job Ben :)

Definitely no wrong way to do it! Just some ways are easier on the shoulders. I have a foot plate in which stops me from hitting the pedals but cross legged I'm far more stable 😊

We all seem to do this in a slightly different way... whichever is easiest for us is the best way..and of course it is different and a fair bit easier if we have a passenger, and they don't mind shoving our chair in the back of the car for us!... (Phil - Lancashire)

Best transfer video I've see to date. How do you keep yourself from falling forwards or slipping back from the edge of the seat, when transferring out?

Good question I forgot to mention that I hold onto the steering wheel often. Trying to keep 3 points of contact where I can 😊

What are those loops you were talking about with taking the wheels off of the wheelchair? I wanted the wheels with the lever to release them but unfortunately that's not what they gave me. I cannot get my wheels off easily and am looking for a way to make it easier.

This is mine but they might not fit every chair as some axles are different sizes www.quickie-wheelchairs.com/Wheelchair-Parts-Accessories/Assorted-Wheelchair-Parts/Wheels-Hand-Rims-Axles/Wheelchair-Axles/Quad-Quick-Release-Axle/34379p

Hello, I've been watching your videos for a few months now and you have definitely motivated to do more for myself. I myself am a paraplegic, and have been trying to get more independent each day. I want to start driving again, I really miss it, and I was wondering how to go about with being able to drive? What all steps do I need to take?
@AdaptToPerform5 жыл бұрын
All depends where you live in the world. I went for an assessment at a centre where I tried lots of things. Settled on the right controls there. Went on to get my car and all the controls fitted. Then because I hadn't had a driving license before, I learnt to drive in my own car. Thanks for watching. 😊😊
