Wow, much better set up than what I have. I just have slightly customized push/pat (made longer to be closer to me with 90' wrist rest) and spinner nob with ezy-lock dock. I much rather the steering like that as my shoulder is struggling with the steering at times and since I only have one hand on the wheel I have to constantly be pushing up slightly on wheel to remain straight. most people can counter balance the wheel with their other hand. (I am safe it is just really tiring)

I recently started driving as well and I'm using QuicStick hand controls (until I get a more permanent setup). A couple weeks ago, my dad didn't have them secured tight enough so they actually came OFF the pedals while I was driving on a roller coaster road (cars come flying over the hills without being able to see much in front of them). Luckily he was there in the passenger seat and pressed the gas with his hand so I could steer it into a drive way. No cars came during that moment (probably less due to corona) *phew* Anyways, congratz! The way your controls works is pretty dang amazing 👍

Thanks for sharing your driving experience. My daughter is at the point of being evaluated for what her special equipment needs are prior to getting a wheelchair van that is customized for her to drive and she tried a device like the one you are using. However, using one hand for everything was too fatiguing for her arm/hand muscles. Do you experience fatigue in your left arm or hand while driving? How long have your driven for (non-stop)?

Great video! What brand of controls do you use for steering/gas/brake? Also, do you have any difficulty seeing traffic lights b/c of the position of the chair and windshield? Do you ever have spasms when driving?

The hand controls I have are called a Scott’s driving system. It’s funny you say that because I actually sit really high up and when I’m at a stop light. I have to lower my head to see under my windshield. Yes I do have spasms sometimes. That is why I wear a chest strap and a strap around my ankles to keep my feet from kicking out.
