as someone who is looking into keeping quails. I am happy to say I have no plans on keeping anything in tiny cages like this.

By law, in NSW, quails kept on wire must have the minimum of 125cm square per bird. On the ground it is 145cm square per bird.

Hi I’m in Australia and would like to learn more about keeping quails. We have possums and rats outside which regularly take our crops outside. I appreciate how you keep your quails safe from all wild life. I’m just wondering if you have any tips for other ways to keep the quails?

That is NOT the way to keep Quails! First of all, that cage is big enough for only one or two parakeets or other small flying birds. Secondly quails need some type of ground or sand space to bathe in. Do not try to keep a quail as if it was a flying bird such as a parrot, keep quail in an environment more similar to a chicken. That is a very inhumane way to keep them.

These quials are In cages, protected from predator, kept out of the elements, is a clean environment with clean water and quality food. This is how we keep our birds on a small block of land. We are good keepers and give up most care for our quails. I appreciate that cages are not your thing... But don't tell me I am inhumane.... As the word means.. not humane; lacking humanity, kindness, compassion, etc. There is many way to do something.... Just cause it doesn't suit your mindset /likings don't go around shooting people Down... Why don't you open up a dialogue where we can discuss.. And comment by asking "why would someone opt for cages for keeping quails?" Which would be more benificial than just shooting someone down? Constructive dialogue..... So everyone can benifit. I know many quial keepers who are pationate about raising and breeding quails who keep thier birds in cages. Anways....

Im tempted to put my quails in this. The rat killed 2 of them, i have my quails mainly in a 6x by 2.8 metre run on the ground. I have a mite problem now, sometimes they cut there foot or break there leg idk how. Im tempted to put them in one of these, the mites breed like crazy i have thousand of them now it seems
